“The journey continues, but today we celebrate how far we’ve come.”

Today, The Collective at The Family Tree honors Juneteenth — a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice and healing. We recognize the strength of the generations who fought, endured, and paved the way, and we remain committed to building spaces rooted in dignity, belonging, and liberation.

🌿 Happy Juneteenth from The Collective at The Family Tree.

✨ Board Member Spotlight: Linda Allen-Johnson ✨

We are proud to spotlight Linda Allen-Johnson, a dedicated leader and community servant whose lifetime of service continues to make a meaningful impact.

A native of Mamou, Linda is married to Rodney Johnson and is the proud mother of six children and grandmother of five. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a master’s degree from Webster University.

Linda retired after distinguished careers as both a federal employee and a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. Today, she is embracing this season of life by focusing on volunteerism and giving back to the community she loves.

Her commitment to service extends through her involvement with the Junior League of Lafayette, the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), and St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church.

Thank you, Linda, for your dedication unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in our community! 💙
