A big thank you to Barry Ancelet for speaking to the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette about the 52nd year of Festivals Acadiens et Créoles!
Barry shared exciting updates about the festival’s continued celebration and evolution of Acadiana’s rich cultural heritage, including its partnership with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and the cultural fusion that has shaped our region.
This year’s festival will continue with favorites we know and love while expanding its features, including activating a fifth major stage and highlighting the Irish, Native American, Appalachian, and other cultural musicians influences woven into Acadiana’s unique identity.
Thank you, Barry, for sharing your knowledge, passion, and commitment to preserving and celebrating the culture that makes Acadiana such a special place to live, work, and play!
