🕯️ A WAVE OF LIGHT. A WORLD OF LOVE. 🤍 7pm

Today, October 15, is Pregnancy, infant / Child loss Remembrance Day, a day to honor the babies who died during pregnancy, at birth, or in childhood and the families who carry their love every day.

Tonight, people around the world will join the Wave of Light, lighting a candle at 7 p.m. in their own time zone and keeping it burning for one hour. As evening reaches each part of the world, another candle is lit, creating a wave of remembrance that stretches across countries, communities, and hearts. 🌎🕯️

At The RescYOU Group, we know that the loss of a child at any age is unimaginable. As we honor the meaning of this day, we also welcome every family we serve to light a candle in memory of their child.

Today, we stand as a community, beside those whose arms are empty, whose homes are quieter, and whose hearts hold someone they will always miss.

Join us tonight from 7–8 p.m. Louisiana time.
Light a candle. Speak their name. Take a moment to remember the life, the love, and everything your child means to you. 🤍

Every flame holds a memory. Every name belongs to someone deeply loved.

Your intelligence, gentle heart, and love for your family made you someone truly special. Whether you were creating stories, exploring computer coding, building worlds in Minecraft, or spending time outdoors with your beloved pets, you found joy in the things that made you who you were.

At just fourteen, you had so much left to discover and share with the world. Your parents, brother, and extended family will forever hold close the memories made with you and the love that continues to connect you. Though your time here was far too short, the kindness you showed and the warmth you brought into the lives of others will never be forgotten.

Caleb, may you rest in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. May your family find comfort in their faith and in knowing that the love they have for you will never end. Your story continues through the hearts that will always carry you.

What People Get Wrong About Grieving Parents 🤍

Sometimes people think that if a grieving parent is smiling, laughing, or going about their day, they must be doing better.

They may think that if time has passed, the grief should be getting easier. Or that talking about their child will only make them sad.

But grief is so much more than what we see on the outside.

A parent can laugh and still miss their child deeply. They can have a good day and still wish their child were here to share it. They can keep living while carrying a loss that has changed them forever.

Grieving parents don't need to be fixed, rushed, or told to move on. They need understanding, patience, and people who are willing to remember their child with them.

Here are a few things to remember:

💛 Don't assume a smile means the pain is gone.

💛 Don't be afraid to say their child's name.

💛 Don't put a timeline on their grief.

💛 Listen without trying to fix everything.

💛 Keep showing up, even after the first few weeks and months have passed.

You don't have to find the perfect words. Sometimes, simply saying, "I'm thinking of you and your child. I'm here if you need me," means more than you know.

Grieving parents are still parents. Their child will always matter, and the love they carry doesn't have an expiration date.

You are not alone. You are seen. You are loved. 💛

Your words, “I feel like a million bucks!” reflected the strength and optimism that made you such an inspiration.

Your warrior spirit throughout your illness showed the world what it meant to face challenges with courage and grace. You had a special way of bringing smiles to others, and the love you shared with your parents, siblings, and extended family will always be treasured.
