HEADS UP, PILOT Y FAMILY!
We're making some improvements around the Y tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, and wanted to give everyone a heads-up about a few temporary changes!

PARKING LOT & BUILDING ACCESS
Beginning early Thursday morning, several accessible parking spaces near our front entrance will be temporarily blocked off to make room for a crane and crews installing new mechanical equipment on the roof of our indoor pool.

If you're able, we encourage you to park a little farther from the building to help keep closer parking available for those who need it!

PLEASE USE EXTRA CAUTION when entering and exiting the building, especially around noon when crane operations are expected to begin near our main entrance. Be mindful of workers, equipment, and any posted directions.

INDOOR POOL CLOSED | 12–3 PM
Our indoor pool will be temporarily closed while the rooftop equipment is installed.

GOOD NEWS! Our HEATED outdoor pool will remain OPEN!

INDOOR POOL ACCESSIBILITY RAMP REPAIRS
Beginning at 8 AM, our shallow-end accessibility ramp will be unavailable throughout the day while repairs are completed.

The deep-end entry ladders and accessible chair lift will remain available during morning pool hours.

We know these changes may interrupt your normal Y routine, and we appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we continue making improvements to our facility!

Thanks for being part of our Pilot Y family!

A special THANK YOU to our incredible staff, volunteers, and community partners — West Hills Community Association and Friends of the Knox County Public Library — for helping make this day possible!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our longtime YMCA yoga instructor and friend, Hanna Harb.

For more than 22 years, Hanna shared his passion for yoga, wellness, and helping others throughout the YMCA of East Tennessee. To many of our members, Hanna was much more than an instructor. He was a familiar face, a welcoming presence, a friend, and someone who helped make our Y a place of connection and community.

Just days ago, Hanna was doing what he had done for more than two decades, showing up for his classes, connecting with members, and sharing his time and talents with others. His sudden passing is a tremendous loss, and we know that many of you who attended his classes or simply knew him throughout the years will feel his absence deeply.

For those wishing to pay their respects, Hanna's funeral services will be held Friday, October 23rd, at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Kingston Pike. Receiving of family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Our thoughts are with Hanna's family, friends, fellow instructors, and the community he built throughout his many years with the Y. His presence will certainly be missed.

Another Friday night, another School Spirit Showdown with the team at Star 102.1!

The YMCA of East Tennessee is always proud to show up and support our community. This past Friday night, we had the privilege of presenting a check to the West High School Rebels!

At the Y, we believe in supporting young people both on and off the field. We’re proud to cheer on the young athletes in our community who are putting in the work, building healthy habits, and learning the value of teamwork.

Catch us this Friday night at the School Spirit Showdown at Halls High School where the Red Devils are taking on Campbell County! We’ll be there cheering on our community and celebrating the school spirit that makes East Tennessee so special!

💗 We’re Celebrating 9.25 Day the Dolly Way! 💗
It’s Member Appreciation Day at the Pilot Family YMCA, and we’re celebrating our members with a little East Tennessee flair inspired by the one and only Dolly Parton!

Stop by the lobby today and:
🍋 Pour yourself a PINKER cup of ambition with some Pink Lemonade
🍌 Enjoy Banana Pudding, one of Dolly’s favorite Southern treats
📚 Bring a new or gently used children’s book for our Kids Book Drive benefiting the Friends of the Knox County Public Library

And judging by that book box already filling up, y’all understood the assignment!

Whether you’re working on those fitness goals from 9 to 5, stopping by for a quick workout, or just coming in for a little banana pudding, today is about celebrating YOU and what you bring to our YMCA of East Tennessee family.

Happy 9.25 Day from the Pilot Family Y!
Strong Bodies. Kind Hearts. Every Day.
