Utilizing the forms of writing, mixed media sculpture, dance, and experimental hardcore vocalizations, Two Spirit artist Chloe Sky Dittloff (also known by their Amskapi Pikuni name ‘Iiniipissiskitsaakii’) explores Indigenous grief through the theology of Blackfeet storytelling and intergenerational ritualism. Central to their work is the poetics of play as a liberatory collective act. Play informed by ancestral practices of transmuting trauma into magic - and magic into life sustaining meaning. When not writing they can be found laughing with their head thrown back.
