Creativity, community, and plenty of festive fun! Our team and participants at Putnam Day Hab fully embraced the Halloween spirit! From shopping for costumes to a wonderful afternoon of painting and decorating pumpkins, it was a fun celebration. 🎃🎨

Days like these are a wonderful reminder of the vibrant, creative environment our dedicated staff helps foster every day. Thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable and "spooktacular!"

Abe Rivera met with Town of Woodstock Supervisor Anula Courtis. Abe is an active participant in the Woodstock Drum Circle on the Village Green and wanted to share his thoughts on improving the area's accessibility. Abe offered his support to the Town with their upcoming project with the NYS Department of Transportation (DOT) which is slated to begin next year. That project will repave Route 212 through the center of Town as well as improve the sidewalks and lighting. Abe and Supervisor then discussed the next steps for him to collaboratively assist the Town in this matter. Thanks to Town of Woodstock Supervisor Anula Courtis for making this partnership possible.

"Advocacy works. Last year, our community showed up and made its voice heard. We secured a 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII), and the average Direct Support Professional (DSP) starting wage rose 2.6%, bringing it to $19.03.

Investments help provide more consistent care, keep experienced staff on the job, and strengthen services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Pecora Day Hab hosted the ultimate Fall Festival, and we couldn’t have asked for a brighter, sunnier, or more perfect day! From start to finish, the energy was high and the smiles were endless. ☀️✨

Let’s hear it for our amazing Special Olympics bowling team, the Arc Spinners! Our athletes have been hitting the lanes, working hard, and showing true sportsmanship, dedication, and team spirit with every single frame.

Watching the Arc Spinners support one another, smash their personal goals, and bring so much joy to the sport is incredibly inspiring. They truly embody the spirit of the Special Olympics!
