This week's Peer Tid-Bit is 🌞Belonging🌞

"Belonging means having a place where you can show up as your authentic self, feel accepted without judgment, and know that your experiences matter. Peer support creates opportunities for people to connect through shared experiences, to build relationships, and to remind one another that we are not alone. When people feel that they belong, they can find hope, confidence, and the freedom to explore what recovery and wellness mean for them. In peer support, belonging isn’t about fitting in—it’s about knowing there is a place for you exactly as you are."

Monadnock Peer Support needs your help!

At MPS, we know that wellness is about more than addressing one need. Food access, nutrition, social connection, confidence, and practical life skills all play an important role in a person's overall well-being. The Wellness Kitchen will give us a dedicated space to offer hands-on cooking and nutrition programming, prepare community meals, teach practical food-preparation skills, and help individuals learn how to make the most of the food and resources available to them. We have already received generous support from local organizations and community partners, including the Keene Lions Club and the Keene Rotary Club, but we still have work to do to bring the kitchen across the finish line. Please consider donating to our fundraiser at the link below.

You made it to Friday! Before you rush into the weekend, take a moment to recognize something you did this week that you’re proud of—even if it seems small. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s worth celebrating. 💚

Today a portion of our staff received Youth Mental Health First Aid Training! This was one of the first steps along the path towards one of our strategic goals of starting a pilot youth peer support program this fiscal year.

THANK YOU to Sam Grisson-Hill of the YMCA and Alyssa Bender-Jesse of The Keene Recreation center for being incredible trainers!
