Comrade Kenneth recalls the day Independence, Missouri approved this data center.

“Residents filed for a referendum on that Tuesday. By Thursday the city said the referendum couldn’t happen.

The People showed up. Hundreds packed the room. Neighbors spoke for hours.

They voted it through anyway.

$6.6 billion in tax breaks for an AI data center that will use as much electricity as hundreds of thousands of homes.

When residents tried to take it to a public vote, the door got slammed shut.

Dr. Jared Ball (Jared Ball) calls this the colonial relationship: Extraction. Exploitation.

The distance between those who profit and those who live with the consequences.

Different industry. Same logic.

The profits go somewhere else.
The land, water, and power come from here.

Our communities are not ‘sacrifice zones.’ Not for AI.
Not for billion dollar tech companies.
Not for anyone.

This fight isn’t over.”
