Lola and Emmanuel are MINDDRIVE alumni. Drove Electrathon cars as high school students.

Now this weekend they’ll be driving Ethan Whitehill #54 Alfa Romeo at the Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival.

Thank you Ethan for providing access to motorsports to the generation at this historic event.

See you at the Paddock and Chicago Motorcars & Menswear this Saturday! 9AM to Noon at Ward Parkway between Broadway & Central, in front of JH & Son’s Clothiers.

If you haven’t seen the ‘69 Electric Chevelle in person, or you’ve been missing it, we’ll see you there on October 10th.

Claire chose MINDDRIVE for the 2025 Fan Impact Challenge. The win was great. What she did with the girls on our 189 team was even better.

She’s out in the Bay Area now. This weekend when Bay FC came to play KC Current, she invited our students, got them onto the field, and caught up like no time had passed. We appreciate that. Not many people keep showing up a year later. Now our goal is to get the kids out to the Bay area for a game in the near future.

And huge thanks to our friends at Kansas City Current for helping making this reunion happen.

Happy Birthday Lola!!! 🎂

She came through MINDDRIVE as a student, drove 189 to a first place finish with the all-girls team, taught a Kelce how to weld, and spoke on stage with another about the ‘69 Electric Chevelle. Then she brought KC girls together to learn how to weld with Claire Hutton, bringing home the fan vote for the NWSL Fan Impact Award, and much more. Now she’s on staff as an Assistant Welding Tech, teaching the same skills she learned here.

We’re glad she stuck around. 🎉

Almost nothing at MINDDRIVE gets done by one person. A welded sculpture, an auto repair project, a Corvair converted to electric. Somebody measures, somebody cuts, somebody catches the mistake before it turns into a bigger one.

Most of the time the person explaining how to do something is another student who figured it out a few weeks earlier. That’s how a lot of the learning happens here.
