MINDDRIVE has created an educational model that influences the student’s other core classes. Our focus is aimed toward at-risk, urban teens with academic deficiencies and concurrent social issues. We work with students that are typically, but not always, performing behind their class level and often have a variety of socio-economic problems to deal with in their homes and neighborhoods. Creating a

family-like atmosphere, where the students are supported by our team of volunteer adult mentors, the students are exposed to several new career paths and can see how the work they do at MINDDRIVE can translate into a career choice or an exploration of possibilities they'd never thought of before.

Kicking off Summer 2026 at MINDDRIVE ☀️

We like to keep things busy year-round, and this month we’ve got students from , , and in the building.

Students are participating in hands-on, project-based learning. For us, that means ordering parts, designing, planning, problem-solving, and everything else that moves a project forward. Not just the welding and grinding you usually see.

They’re seeing all the pieces that have to come together before a project leaves the shop.

Keep an eye out this summer for project updates, interviews, and student-led content creation.

MINDDRIVE Invitational was a success!

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported these students. And congratulations to the teams who took home a trophy.

These teams took hands on learning to the track and showed off their skills in design, fabrication, engineering, and teamwork.

Our teams came together to prepare and distribute Thanksgiving meals to families across our community, and our MindDrive staff also led welding breakout sessions at OB where everyone made tiny snowmen. ⛄️ 💛
