One of our favorite parts of participating in Planet Anime every year is being inspired by the amazing guests that attend the convention. Every year we build minifigure habitats for guests that have official LEGO minifigures (or ones we can build on our own from LEGO parts).

Colleen Clinkerbeard - voice of Monkie D. Luffy in the animated show One Piece

Camrus Johnson - TV actor for Batwing in the Batwoman TV show (and he stopped by our booth!!)

Janet Varney - voice of Wonder Woman in the DC animated movie Injustice

Zach Aguilar - voice of Genos from the animated show One Punch Man

Jennie Kwan - voice of the mutant Jubilee in the MARVEL Super War video game

Jim Cu***ng - voice of Tigger and Winnie the Pooh in Winnie the Pooh cartoons and movies

KC Brick Lab is out displaying today at Elite Comics Summer Jam II in Overland Park.

Come check out some of our awesome original LEGO creations, and see some great local vendors and buy some comics!

We also have a Mosaic Building Activity for kiss to participate in - come help us build a cmosaic of Supergirl!

August is stacked with brick-built fun!

We just had our August meeting last weekend with over 40 members in attendance. Now we are ready for a bunch of great local events this month.

August 15: Elite Comics Summer Jam II
- comic book and pop culture inspired LEGO creations and a build activity for kids to participate in
August 21–23: Planet Anime display
- come see us in Booth and check our some anime-inspired LEGO creations
August 29: Bricks & Minifigs Lawrence Grand Opening
- we will have a small display on hand for the grand opening of the next BAM in the local area

KC Brick Lab is all the way on the other side of the state in St. Louis this weekend!

Seven members are displaying this weekend at Brick Convention St. Louis.

Cheryl has her brick build tools and a bunch of great LEGO mosaics (including her lenticular mosaic).

Payton brought his minifig vignettes, and a giant Rocky mosaic.

Chris M. displayed some small vignettes.

Joe R. showed off his sugar skull mosaic and some small buildings.

Burgess R. brought some vehicles and his Kansas University Union building.

George R. presented some recreations of real-life buildings from Lawrence, KS and his yellow church won Best Building at the convention.

Liam displayed a bunch of fun original creations, and his minifig habitat pyramid won Best Small Creation.

KC Brick Lab members have had an incredibly busy and amazing weekend across the Midwest!

- Two members are in Round Rock, TX for Brick Rodeo
- Four members in Sioux Falls, SD for Brick Falls
- and everybody else came out to visit the new LEGO store location in Kansas City at Town Center!!

At Brick Rodeo, Cheryl and Alex displayed a bunch of creations and Cheryl's "Under the Sea" lenticular creation won Best Mosaic!

At Brick Falls, Chris, Lindsey, Payton, and Dave all displayed amazing builds, mosaics, and Great Ball Contraptions and hung out with friends from SODALUG and LOLUG.

One more day of fun at both conventions and tons of fun activities at the opening weekend for the LEGO store here in KC.

Another update from the LEGO built international soccer stadium at Union Station in downtown KCMO.

One of our awesome members, Liam M., built the three mascots for this summer's tournament.

Here are Clutch the Bald Eagle (United States), Maple the Moose (Canada), and Zayu the Jaguar (Mexico).

Come see them and the stadium this summer. It is back in the model train area.
