Last weekend KC Brick Lab held our September meeting at The Sorted Brick for our annual club garage sale. Lots of great sets, minifigures, and builds to buy as well as all the amazing merchandise in The Sorted Brick. We also brought in our Holiday Reflections builds we are working on for the display at Union Station for November (no pictures yet...).

🏁 History in the making for KC Brick Lab! We had an absolute blast at our exclusive, first-ever collaboration event with the LEGO Store at Town Center Crossing! In July, we were officially confirmed as a LEGO Fan CoLab Community AND the new local LEGO Store opened at Town Crossing. The LEGO Fan CoLab organized this event to bring us together, allowing 25 of our club members to visit the store before official opening hours for an unforgettable morning.
Check out all the fun activities:

🏎️ Make & Take: Everyone got to construct a sleek red LEGO race car to take home.
🛍️ Goody Bags: No one left empty-handed—every single attendee walked away with a special goody bag featuring a small LEGO set.
🎟️ Raffle Winners: Four club members won the raffle and took home some incredible free LEGO sets!

A massive thank you to Sandie, the store manager, and the rest of the team (Dina, Nyx, Rob, and Spencer) at the Town Center Crossing LEGO Store for hosting us and launching this amazing partnership. We cannot wait for the next CoLab event!

KC Brick Lab has a busy September and its just getting started.

We are uninstalling our LEGO soccer stadium on 12 September so get down to Union Station to see it before then if you haven't. It is located by the frieght house bridge near the model train area exit (see the map). The Grand Plaza will be closed on 3-4, and 9-10 September so plan accordingly.

13 September - we will have our monthly meeting at The Sorted Brick in Riverside, MO from 4-6pm. Meeting focus is future events, our Holiday Reflections Build status, and our annual garage sale.

19 September - we will have a mosaic build activity for the public to participate in at Bricks & Minifigs in Mission, KS from 10am - 2pm. Come build a mosaic and learn how we design, plan, and build our big mosaics.
*build activity is with club bricks and are not part of a make and take event

2-31 October - we will have a Halloween themed display at the N. Independence Library all month long. Look for the display case full of spooky LEGO builds.

One of our favorite parts of participating in Planet Anime every year is being inspired by the amazing guests that attend the convention. Every year we build minifigure habitats for guests that have official LEGO minifigures (or ones we can build on our own from LEGO parts).

Check out the LEGO minifigure habitats we built for guests this year:

Colleen Clinkerbeard - voice of Monkie D. Luffy in the animated show One Piece

Camrus Johnson - TV actor for Batwing in the Batwoman TV show (and he stopped by our booth!!)

Janet Varney - voice of Wonder Woman in the DC animated movie Injustice

Zach Aguilar - voice of Genos from the animated show One Punch Man

Jennie Kwan - voice of the mutant Jubilee in the MARVEL Super War video game

Jim Cu***ng - voice of Tigger and Winnie the Pooh in Winnie the Pooh cartoons and movies

Only a few more hours of Planet Anime left today...come see us in the Anime Entertainment Zone at Booth A25.
