Friends With Disabilities grill combo fundraiser

When: October 15, 2026
Time: 4pm to 7:30pm

Where: 105 East Walnut St., at Skyrise Apartments, 2nd floor community room.

All combos include: one can soda or bottled water, a cookie, and a bag of chips
With your choice of the following:

1. all beef jumbo hotdog ($10),
brat ($11), or
hamburger/ cheeseburger ($12).

Skyrise residents may pre-order, or come on the day of the fundraiser to purchase a meal.

All pre-orders are due on Saturday, October 10, 2026
Payments accepted are: Cash App - $SHARMESE, or cash.

Orders may be placed by phone or text to Friends with Disabilities @ 269-830-1334

The Friends With Disabilities grilled fundraiser will help people with Physical Disabilities age is 18 years old and older and Kalamazoo County.

This fundraiser will help to breakdown barriers through advocacy, build connections in the community and continue to be a source of resources for people in the community.

Good afternoon friends with disabilities friends, family, and community. As of today we are 9 days away from the car show fundraiser and we have no cars registered. Even though we have been advertising since June, therefore we will not be having a car show fundraiser.

Good afternoon FWD family and friends. This was a shared opportunity for Consumers Energy customers to have their voices heard directly by Consumers Energy leadership.

DNSWM ( Disability Network of Southwest Michigan) is partnering with Consumers Energy to host Community Conversations focused on hearing directly from customers about their experiences, concerns, and ideas. Consumers Energy will have top-level leadership at these events. They are the people who have the ability to listen, follow up, and help make changes happen.

The goal is to make sure that people with disabilities are represented in these conversations. Consumers Energy needs to hear about the experiences of customers with disabilities and better understand what is working, what may be creating barriers, and where there are opportunities to improve. Consumers Energy will also provide information on there program and services.

If you receive a Consumers Energy bill, you are a customer and your voice matters. This means Renters, homeowners, people living with family or roommates, and anyone else who receives a Consumers Energy bill are welcome.

Please see the attached flyer for the Community Conversation dates, details, and registration information. Let's also encourage I just start self, but others to share this opportunity with anyone who may want to have their voices heard. Here at Friends With Disabilities we will continue to share information given by other organizations to help us all as a community.
