🔧 Making a Difference, One Repair at a Time! 🔧
​It has been an incredibly busy and rewarding week here at Higher Power Garage! Our mission is all about keeping our community safe and on the road, and we’ve had the privilege of helping some truly wonderful folks recently. Here is a look at what the team has been up to:
​🚗 Alice’s Story: Alice is a new face around the shop! As a client on a fixed income, keeping her vehicle safe without breaking the bank is crucial. We were able to replace her right front and right rear wheel hubs, and gave her tires a much-needed rotation. We are so happy to report she is back on the road safely!
​🚗 Welcome Back, Nikkitie! We always love seeing returning faces. Nikkitie brought her vehicle back to us, and we got straight to work replacing her water pump, evap sensor, and her washer fluid pump. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your vehicle, Nikkitie!
​🚗 Welcome, Mr. Alfred! A big welcome to another new client. We took care of Mr. Alfred's vehicle by repairing both his front rotors and his front brake pads, ensuring he has reliable stopping power wherever he drives.

Today marks 6 years of ministry for Higher Power Garage!
Starting in 2020, the shop has come so far. What began with just two team members—myself and Tabitha—has blossomed into a team of seven, with multiple volunteers who support us regularly. God has blessed us over these years allowing us to serve more than 2,600 families, providing over half a million dollars’ worth of free labor. We’ve also helped 165 low-cost vehicles find new owners in our Barriers To Work program, and through our educational classes, over 1,000 students have passed through in just six years. Thank you to the community that has supported us all along—none of this would be possible without you. We are just getting started! We can’t wait to see what the next six years bring!

We want to say thank you to Adrian Miler for the generous donation of a 2005 Ford Expedition. This amazing vehicle was able to bless Mr. Lucas and his family through our barrier to work low cost vehicle program. Lucas is the dad of 1, soon to be 2, and is looking forward to having a vehicle to enjoy time with his wife and kids and provide stability for them as well. He says, "We truly appreciate organizations like yours that help families who are trying to get back on their feet and improve their situation. Reliable transportation would make a huge difference for our family, between work, appointments, caring for our children, and preparing for our son to arrive soon." Having a vehicle will relieve the stress and provide the independence Lucas's family needs. These things would not be possible without this program and the generosity of people like Adrian Miler. Lucas has been without transportation for a little over 2 years. Being able to give this dad and husband peace of mind is the greatest blessing. We want to say thank you to Robert Gross for his generous donation of a 2007 Saturn Outlook. This amazing vehicle was able to bless Ms. Jessca and her family through our barrier to work low cost vehicle program. Jessca is the momma of 4 and is looking forward to having a chance to spend time with her family and find some independence. She says, "This vehicle will be a game-changer for me, opening up new possibilities and freedom. With all my kids exceptone already out of the house, I'm looking forward to having reliable transportation to support my youngest in his activities and myself in daily life, from work to home, and everything in between." Having a vehicle available to take her son put to celebrate his birthday is something Jessca is looking forward to. These things would not be possible without this program and the generosity of people like Robert Gross. Jessca has been without transportation for a little over a year.
