🚗 Client Success Spotlight at Higher Power Garage! 🛠️

We’ve had an incredible week in the bays keeping our community moving! From hardworking single moms to dedicated caregivers, check out how we’ve been turning wrench time into peace of mind:

✨ Meet Miss Brandy!
Over the past year, Miss Brandy has faced down major obstacles with incredible strength. To make sure nothing slows her down on the way to work, church, and her parenting classes, our crew gave her ride some serious TLC:

New engine mount & 4 fresh tires 🛞

Valve cover gasket replacement to stop that pesky oil leak 🧰

Fresh oil change

New ignition coil & a new fuel injector to clear up a clog ⚡

We are so excited to see what amazing things the future holds for you, Brandi!

🚗 Welcome Back, Miss Amy!
Miss Amy is one of our wonderful returning clients, and her car pulls double (and triple!) duty. Not only does she rely on it to get around, but she also uses it to pick up the kiddos from school and transport elderly family members who depend on her. To keep her precious cargo safe and rolling smoothly, we tackled:

Valve cover gaskets (to stop an oil leak that was drowning her spark plugs) 💧

Brand new spark plugs to get her firing on all cylinders again 🔥

🏥 Rolling Strong with Miss Katrina!
Miss Katrina is an absolute superhero working as a home health aide, caring for others day in and day out. Her vehicle needed some serious suspension love so she could keep making her rounds safely. We hooked her up with:

Brand-new struts & control arms 🦾

Sway bar end links

A fresh CV axle

Thank you to EVERYONE who supports our mission and keeps our doors open for folks when they need it most! A huge, heartfelt shoutout goes out to Sidney Davis and Richard Keller—we appreciate you for your recent support to Higher Power Garage! 🙏💙

We want to say thank you to Hank & Kara DePriest for their generous donation of a 2006 Chevy Malibu. This amazing vehicle was able to bless Ms. Hailey and her family through our barrier to work low cost vehicle program. Hailey is a single mom and is looking forward to having a chance to spend time with her family and also find some independence. She says, "As a young single mother working hard to build a life from the ground up, navigating the world without a vehicle,...,has been an uphill battle. Everyday tasks that many take for granted require meticulous planning and endless energy when you are relying on walking and rides. Receiving this car, my very first car, changes everything for us." This vehicle is Hailey's hand up to reach her goals. She can continue to move forward and provide a stable life for her and her little one. Hailey has been looking forward to safe, reliable transportation to relieve the barriers she was facing to run essential errands, get safely to daycare, and enjoy time together. These things would not be possible without this program and the generosity of people like Hank & Kara. Hailey has never owned her own vehicle and has been without transportation for 5 years. Being able to give this mom some peace of mind and independence is the greatest blessing. At this time, applications are closed, but our hope is to open applications back up as soon as we fill our currently accepted applications. Keep an eye on our website, www.higherpowergarage.org.

A special thank you to our financial supporters, Janice Steele, Robert Stevenson, David & Judy Powell, Kalai Esch, James River Church, First Presbyterian Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and DAV.

Another busy and productive week in the bay at Higher Power Garage! Keeping our community safe on the road is always our top priority, and we love taking care of our incredible clients. 🚗🔧

We recently welcomed back our returning client, Miss Alexis. Our team got her vehicle safely back on the road by replacing her front brake pads and rotors on both sides, along with three lug nuts and one lug stud. Safety first, always!

We also had another returning client, Richard, stop by the shop. He needed a hand getting some sharp new fog lights installed on his vehicle, and we were more than happy to help brighten up his drive. 💡

We couldn't do what we do without the amazing backing of our community. A huge thank you to Danny Drake, the Hine family, and Thomas Hamilton for your continued support and partnering with us here at the shop!

We proudly serve individuals and families within a 45-mile radius of the Joplin area. If you or someone you know is in need of a vehicle repair, please head over to our website at higherpowergarage.org to fill out an application.
