MUSH Rescue MUSH Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of Siberian Huskies MUSH Rescue is not a shelter with visiting hours.

We are comprised of a network of foster homes run entirely by volunteers. Our chapter directors, officers, and trustees are also volunteers. What brings us together is our love for Siberian Huskies and the desire to help these displaced animals find their fur-ever homes. As a nonprofit, federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, our expenses are funded by adoption fees and donations. We rely on th

e generosity of others who, like us, understand and admire the complexity of this unique and highly intelligent breed, and want to help combat the effects of pet overpopulation in our community.

Cass is a fun-loving, energetic husky puppy who will keep you laughing every day. He loves attention and isn't shy about asking for it—often nudging your hand with his nose and making the funniest faces.

Like most huskies, he gets the zoomies and sometimes slides into walls, couches, or cabinets because he can't quite stop in time. He usually acts like he meant to do it, which makes it even funnier!

Cass loves to play fetch, knows basic commands like "no" and "paw," is treat-motivated, and walks well on a leash. He's fully potty trained and can be left out of a kennel when you're away. He rides well in the car, sleeps with his people, and wants to be wherever his humans are—even bathroom breaks aren't private!

He has great manners around people and other dogs. With cats, he's still learning that they don't always want to play, but he has never shown any intent to hurt them.

Cass is a sweet, affectionate, goofy boy who would make a wonderful companion.

5-year-old husky mix at risk of Euthanasia because the owner doesn't have time for him. A neighbor, Erica, has stepped in to try to help Tobi before his time is up.

About Tobi:

+ 5 years old, male, husky mix
+ No bite history
+ Excellent in a crate — he's adapted to long stretches
+ Lived with children; the family's young boy has grown up alongside Tobi (they refer to Tobi as his brother, and yet...)
+ Also lived with a small dog (since rehomed) without any issue
+ Docile and gentle by nature; timid rather than reactive; never aggressive, even in play; gentle with his family, including toddler; warms to new people with time
+ Currently still in his home, not at a shelter. The owner intends to act as soon as one week from now. If we can find a solution, he would likely wait.

Pet Resource Center in Spartanburg, SC, has a husky in the shelter that is on the euthanasia list, and they are giving him one final push because he is truly the best boy!

Balto is a 1-2 yr old Husky boy with so much love to give. He is house-trained, walks well on leash, and LOVES a good play group session. He is a rowdy player and loves to tumble with his friends in the play yard. He has had no adoption interest and has found himself on the euthanasia list due to length of stay. We would love nothing more than for this boy to find his forever family. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He has never met a stranger and does wonderful with other dogs and children.
