Today, United Community Bank hosted a celebratory luncheon for Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center’s staff, volunteers, and board members as we celebrate two incredible honors received during last week’s Georgia Primary Care Association (GPCA) Annual Conference! 🏆

💙 Good Sam was named Community Health Center of the Year!

👏 Dr. Ken Austin received the Curtis V. Cooper Special Recognition Award for his outstanding contributions and dedication to our community.

A special thank-you to Daniel Lopez from United Community Bank for taking the time to come out and serve lunch to our team today, even on a bank holiday! Your thoughtfulness and generosity mean so much to us.

We are grateful to have community partners who celebrate our successes and support the work we do every day. These honors belong to the entire Good Sam family and the community that makes our mission possible.

💚 National Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Your mental health matters—and you don't have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

At Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center, we’re here to support the whole person. Our Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Carol and Micheline, are available to provide therapy and a safe, supportive place to talk.

And because mental and physical health go hand in hand, Good Sam now has 5 primary care physicians and 4 nurse practitioners available to care for you and your family.

If you’ve been putting off taking care of yourself, let this be your reminder to reach out. Whether you need someone to talk to or it’s time for a primary care visit, we’re here for you. 💚

What a beautiful day at Bent Tree Golf Club for the Ed Delaney Memorial Golf Tournament yesterday! We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s tournament such a wonderful success.

This recognition means so much because it is voted on by our fellow Chamber members and community businesses. At Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center, we are proud to serve the people of Pickens County and work alongside so many wonderful community partners.

Our Dragon Care team joining in the fun!

📚✨ Happy Dolly Day! ✨📚

Today is Dolly Day: “Bookin’ 9–5” at Pickens County Junior High School, and our Dragon Care team was excited to join in the fun! 💕📖

The team dressed up as what Dolly Parton means to them—celebrating her incredible spirit of kindness, generosity, and love of literacy. They also brought gently used books to donate or exchange, helping spread the joy of reading to students in our community.

We are so proud of our Dragon Care team for participating and helping make a difference, one book at a time! ❤️🐉📚

🇺🇸 Labor Day Holiday Reminder! 🇺🇸

Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center, Good Sam Pharmacy, and Dragon Care will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

We will reopen all offices on Tuesday, September 8, with our normal business hours.
