The Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park Association, Inc. is in the planning stages of a memorial park. As part of our work, we will honor all those who gave their lives in combat by having their names etched in stone. We are a 501(c3) Association consisting of veterans and citizens with the cou

rage and heart to embark on this journey to set in motion the construction and continuation of this park to honor and preserve those who have “signed the blank check, up to and including their lives,” “to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.”

This Association is created through a consolidated effort of the citizens of Pickens County, GA. Each individual involved is dedicated by their appreciation for ALL veterans of all conflicts in which the United States of America has participated. This Memorial will be an ongoing effort, which means as there are conflicts there will be more veterans to be honored. is being made possible only through donations.

We extend our appreciation to all who participated in today's National Vietnam War Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. The event demonstrated our community’s commitment to honoring veterans, particularly those who served in the Vietnam War—a conflict that claimed over 58,000 lives. Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center is grateful to receive a $5,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Jasper, Georgia, to support opioid dependency treatment services in our community.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Rotary Club for investing back into Jasper and helping expand access to critical care for those who need it most. Your commitment to service is making a meaningful difference, and we are truly thankful for your partnership and support.

Each year, Walmart awards Spark Good Local Grants. We were honored and privileged to be approved for a Spark Good local grant, a testament to the support of our local Walmart. Our local Walmart presented this award to Frank Leist, Project Manager for Phase II Veterans Memorial Park, by their store manager, Jeremy Gann. $2,000 was awarded for our expansion of the Veterans Memorial Park.
