Looking for a partner for all of your summer adventures? Roger is your guy!

At around 3 years old, Roger absolutely LOVES being outside. Whether he’s exploring a new trail, soaking up the sunshine, or enjoying time in the yard, he’s happiest when he’s out and about with his people.

When the adventure is over, Roger is ready to trade his explorer hat for cuddle duty. This sweet boy loves enrichment toys, enjoys keeping his mind busy, and is always down for a cozy snuggle session after a day of fun.

Today, we’re celebrating all of the amazing dog dads out there, especially the incredible dog dads who are part of the Winston’s Wishes family. While their significant others serve on our board, these supportive partners are always ready to jump in by volunteering at events, lending a hand behind the scenes, and stepping up whenever they’re needed. Their dedication and willingness to help make Winston’s Wishes the very best it can be, and we’re so grateful for everything they do.

We are looking for reliable fosters to help welcome the sanctuary boys into their home until they find their happily ever after!

🐾Jack: 10 years young, 60 lbs, ✨sponsored adoption fee✨

The perfect gentleman to accompany you on long walks or hikes. He would do best in a home with no other pets and kids 10+. He walks great on leash and loves playing ball! For homes with fences, they need to be taller than 4’ because, believe or not, he will jump over the fence.

🐾Atlas: 2 years old, 80lbs , $275 adoption fee

Although we are not fully aware of his past life, we can tell from his anxiety that he has been let down. He is so calm when he is with his humans but when he is by himself, he struggles from anxiety. He would do best in a home with no other animals, or an experienced foster with other dogs who can do slow intros, kids 10+, and a family who works from home or is home most of the time and is able to give him the confidence to help him learn that it is ok to be by himself. He walks great on leash and loves to be outside. He also loves playing ball!

🐾Roger: 3 years old, 65 lbs, $275 adoption fee

Loves to run and play and would love to find a home with a fenced in yard. No fence, that’s ok! Daily walks will do just fine! He would do best with dog savvy kiddos 10+ and an active family to take him on all of their adventures. He loves to snuggle and is a total lap dog! would probably do well with kids 10+, another dog would be fine and he is crate trained!

Winston’s Wishes covers 100% of supplies needed to ensure a smooth transition for your foster pup; medical, enrichment items, food, etc. All we ask of you is to provide a safe and loving home for your foster until they find their people 🐾

We are devastated to share the sudden and unexpected loss of our sweet Lloyd, FKA Toad, this past weekend 💔 One of our amazing volunteers was spending time with him when they noticed his stomach felt a little odd and hollow, so they took him to go potty while they connected with his foster. Within the short amount of time between feeling his belly and messaging his foster, he had collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the closest emergency vet a few minutes down the road but he was already gone. Everyone is unsure of exactly what the cause was but the wonderful veterinarian that helped him described a few possible scenarios, all dealing with internal issues, one being that his intestines may have been twisted, which could have resulted in him passing away suddenly.

While we were excited that he stopped by our event for a few minutes and was able to meet some wonderful new friends, we are beyond heartbroken for our volunteer, his wonderful foster family and everyone who was lucky enough to meet this little sweetheart. Despite some physical ailments and obstacles, such as his legs and having difficulty walking, he was the sweetest guy with the most loving personality. We were all fighting for him and wanted him to have the most loving life, especially his foster Mom.

We knew Lloyd’s road to recovery was going to be long, and possibly difficult, one when he joined our family, but we never could have guessed it would end this soon.

Please honor this sweet boy by helping us to educate the harmful effects of backyard breeding, and please consider adopting from your local rescue or shelter when looking for a new best friend. Lloyd was such a sweet guy and we wanted more than anything for him to have a chance at the life he deserved.

These last few weeks have been more emotional than we ever could have imagined since beginning our rescue 12+ years ago so to those who have reached out over the last few weeks and expressed your support, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We could never have imagined just how many of you are truly there for us.

We’re so excited to share that Miss Bonnie has officially been adopted by her foster family! 💜

We cannot thank all of the amazing people who have been a part of her journey and who have helped her to this chapter of her story; her amazing foster family, Milwaukee Paws Pet Care, LLC : Dog Training, Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, Cold Nose Canine, LLC, Aqua Therapups LLC, our entire veterinary care team, and our wonderful supporters.

Bonnie has been through so much in her short life and is so deserving to have finally found her people. She will be spending her days soaking up the sun in her beautiful backyard and taking endless walks in her wagon! Her parents even got her a birthday/adoption day treat to celebrate the day 🥹🎉
