Isaac Johnson was a little boy with a larger than life personality and a smile that would captivate anyone who met him. Isaac's life forever changed when he was just 2.5 years old. He was always a happy, healthy baby and never had much to complain about.
On March 11th, 2017, Isaac complained of leg pain and eventually stopped walking. He was taken to the local clinic where he received an x-ray. We were told they had found a tumor and were immediately sent to American Family Children's Hospital. It was there we received the news that Isaac was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. He began treatment March 17th, 2017. Our entire lives had changed in the matter of six days. Isaac faced treatment head on every day for over three years. He underwent each treatment which included two stem cell transplants, multiple rounds of chemotherapies, radiation, and immune therapy, many in combination with each other, with fierce determination and strength. He persevered against all odds and remained his true, loving self throughout it all. Isaac's story inspired an entire community who rallied around him at every opportunity. He became our real life Super Hero - our Isaac Strong. He fought with every inch of strength he had in his body until he was finally called home to Heaven on June 6th, 2020. Just four days after his 6th birthday. Isaac was loved by all who had the honor of knowing him. He continues to inspire others with his legacy. we are continuing that legacy with the Isaac Strong Foundation. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization donating 80% of all funds raised to local families battling pediatric cancer and 20% to childhood cancer research. We are proud of Isaac's selfless journey, his fight, and his legacy. Now we are continuing his fight to help others in need and to ultimately find a cure for this terrible disease.
