Faith has a destination.
In Mark 4, the sower plants, watches, sleeps, rises, and keeps the sickle ready, but he can't make the crop grow. Jesus' point isn't that faithful work guarantees a harvest we can measure this year. It's that the harvest is God's, and it is coming.
Andrew Camenga's new Conference Session 2027 article puts it plainly: the long stretches without spectacle can feel like a treadmill, and the culture will even tell you the work is useless. The parable answers otherwise. You are heading somewhere, toward the fullness of His kingdom.
So the daily, mostly hidden work of faith isn't treadmill work. It's harvest-season work, done in active, attentive waiting, because God finishes what He starts.
