What a month for Hope Exchange!

For years, Hope Exchange has created space for people to grow in faith, stewardship, purpose, and community. This spring, we celebrated 32 participants who completed Faith & Finances and Love & Purpose classes alongside their families and supporters.

What started years ago with just two graduates continues to grow through the steady investment of volunteers, churches, donors, and participants willing to keep showing up week after week.

More than $7,500 was earned through participant incentives this semester, representing consistency, commitment, and tangible progress for individuals and families across our city.

We are grateful for the ways God continues to work through ordinary faithfulness over time!

25 people from Redeemer Church gave up part of their Saturday to help move Red Door Jackson supplies, and what could have taken our staff team two days was finished in an hour and a half!

That’s what partnership does. It multiplies capacity. It reminds leaders they are not carrying the work alone.

We talk a lot about serving the city, but this is what it looks like in real life. People showing up, working hard together, and helping make the work sustainable.

What would it look like if leaders serving Jackson had the support needed to continue serving their communities well?

For more than 8 years, Jackson Leadership Foundation has worked to support the people already investing in our city every day. We currently support 9 programs under our 501(c)(3) and partner with 10+ ministries across Jackson.

We believe local communities are best served by people who know their neighborhoods well and remain committed to them over time. Through leadership development, volunteer connection services, shared resources, and strategic partnerships, we come alongside churches, families, and mission-minded organizations working toward the spiritual, social, and economic transformation of Jackson.

There is a place for you to make a difference! If you feel compelled to learn more, serve, or support the work happening across our city, we invite you to visit www.jacksonleadershipfoundation.org

Every young person deserves someone who will keep showing up!

It was an honor for Red Door Jackson to join the Mission Mississippi podcast and share more about the work happening through mentoring relationships across Jackson.

In this conversation, our very own, Kelcie Shack talks about the power of faithful presence, the challenges many students are carrying, and why consistent relationships can change the direction of a child’s life.

We’re grateful to Mission Mississippi for the opportunity to share the heart behind Red Door Jackson and the stories that continue to shape this work every day.

Red Door Jackson’s annual “Fishing Day” was held in collaboration with the Medgar Evers Home National Monument, with Community Bank’s Hinds County team serving alongside RDJ students and families throughout the day.

Volunteers spent the day fishing and investing time with the families involved. For many of the students we serve, moments like this are reminders that people in their community care enough to keep showing up.

We’re grateful for the Medgar Evers Home National Monument, Community Bank, and everyone who helped make the day possible!

24 leaders.
18 ministries.
One conversation we needed.

Last week’s Leader Lab gathering at 23:6 Place brought together leaders from across Jackson to talk honestly about burnout and the pressure that can come with carrying responsibility week after week. Scott Fortenberry of Soul City JXN shared wisdom on leading from a healthier place instead of constantly running on empty.

We’re grateful for Scott, but we’re also grateful for every person who showed up. There was something meaningful about seeing leaders make time for their own health in the middle of serving others so faithfully.

Across Jackson, people are giving their lives to mentoring students, supporting families, strengthening neighborhoods, and serving their communities. Caring for those leaders matters.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Grant Me Justice continues to offer Voices in Circle, creating space for women to gather, process, and find support together.

These circles are free, confidential, and led by women with lived experience. They are designed to reduce isolation and help participants take steady steps forward with practical tools and community connection.

Each gathering makes room for honest conversation and meaningful support in a setting that is both intentional and accessible.

Grant Me Justice is continuing to meet real needs in our city through spaces like this.
