🇰🇷 광복절 | Gwangbokjul — August 15

On August 15, 1945, Korea regained its freedom after 35 years of Japanese colonial rule.

Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for Korea’s independence and remember the meaning behind 광복 (光復) — “the restoration of light.”

80+ years later, that history continues to connect generations of Koreans and Korean Americans around the world. May we carry its spirit forward through remembrance, gratitude, and hope for peace.
