🌸🏡 Ironton in Bloom – June 2026 Yard of the Month 🏡🌸
Congratulations to Terri and Pat Barron, our June 2026 Yard of the Month winners!
Terri shared that she has worked hard over the years to transform the property and has finally reached the point where she can simply have fun and enjoy it. One of her favorite features is the home’s asymmetrical front yard design, which creates visual interest and showcases a wide variety of plants. By choosing flowers that bloom at different times throughout the season, there is always a beautiful pop of color somewhere in the landscape.
Terri’s gardening advice is simple: plant perennials! While annuals are wonderful for hanging baskets and flower boxes, perennials grow larger each year and can be divided and transplanted to other areas of the yard. Many of her plants even came from clearance racks, proving that a little TLC can go a long way.
When told she had been selected, Terri said:
“I feel honored to be selected Ironton in Bloom Yard of the Month. There are so many beautiful yards in Ironton. People taking pride in their lawn is a great thing to see. It’s a lot of work but seeing the results is worth it.” 😊
Adding to the home’s charm, it sits along the Memorial Day Parade Route and is also featured on Ironton’s Historic Walking Tour.
