Only days after planting, several plants at Stormes Creek were stolen. It’s disappointing to see something meant to brighten and beautify our community taken so quickly.

But this hasn’t stopped us before, and it won’t stop us now.

Ironton in Bloom is powered by people who love this town and continue showing up to make it better. We will keep planting, keep growing, and keep bringing beauty to our community.

We are now accepting nominations for our June Yard of the Month! Help us recognize the beautiful yards and hard work that help make our community bloom all summer long. 🌸

Nominations will be accepted through the end of May. You can nominate a yard by:

We did it!!! 🌸🌿🎉

Over 180 pots have officially been planted across Ironton! What started as a huge project became something truly special because of the incredible people who showed up and made it happen.

A huge thank you to volunteers from The PHOENIX Centers, Bethesda Services LLC, the Rock Hill Gardeners of Ironton, Ohio, and so many amazing community members who gave their time and energy to help transform our city. We are beyond grateful.

Our own members worked tirelessly since Thursday to get this project completed. We stayed so busy planting that we never even stopped to get a group photo but their hard work and dedication were the heart behind this entire effort. ❤️

Now comes the best part… sitting back, relaxing, and watching Ironton bloom 🌼🌧️ And with the rain arriving at the perfect time, we couldn’t have asked for a better ending to planting week.

Thank you, Ironton, for helping make our city more beautiful one pot at a time! 🇺🇸🎉🌸

Tomorrow night, Ironton welcomes Armfolk!

The Armfolk Yerevan Group, a talented company of young dancers from Yerevan, Armenia, takes the stage tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the newly renovated Ro-Na Theater in downtown Ironton.

This performance is part of the 2026 International Youth Cultural Exchange Tour, which invites cultural performing arts groups from around the world to represent their nations on an inspiring U.S. tour. These young artists are sharing their country's heritage, experiencing American culture, and building lasting international connections through dance and performance, and Ironton is part of that story.

The performance is free and open to everyone, and we want to see a packed house! Come early, walk around historic downtown, grab dinner at one of our great local restaurants, and bring the whole family. Filling the Ro-Na is one of the best ways we can welcome these young artists to our community and show them what Ironton is all about.

Thanks to Friends of Ironton, the Ironton Council for the Arts, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ironton, Ohio, and a grant from the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio – Lawrence County Community Foundation for making this special evening possible.

We have a few community volunteers gathering this morning at 10am and planting through out the day to complete the remaining 60 pots around Ironton!

If you’d like to join, message us and we will give you the location address to meet, as we have had to move from the Farmer’s Market area.

Our group is ran completely off volunteer efforts and we are excited to have some extra hands to see our biggest event of the year to completion! 🌸🎉

Volunteers Needed Tomorrow — And Possibly Saturday 🌸🌿

Ironton in Bloom is still looking for volunteers to help us finish planting flower pots throughout the city. We still have around 60 pots left to complete, and with our group being small, we truly need community support to get this project finished. 🤞🏼🌼
