OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THUNDER ON THE RIVER & SHORTY’S BAR AND GRILL

Thunder on the River and Shorty’s Bar and Grill would like to address some recent confusion regarding posts and signage shared during this past weekend’s Thunder on the River event in Ironton, Ohio.

Shorty’s has been a tremendous supporter of Thunder on the River since opening its doors. From generous donations to allowing Thunder on the River to “take over” the bar for fundraising events, their continued support has been greatly appreciated and has played an important role in helping us support our mission and our community.

Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication this weekend that the owners were not aware of, some posts and signage created while the owners of Shorty’s were out of the area may have unintentionally given the impression that Shorty’s was the location of the Thunder on the River event rather than a proud local supporter of the event.

We want to make it very clear that there are no hard feelings between Thunder on the River and Shorty’s. Both organizations value the relationship we have built and remain committed to supporting one another moving forward.

Miscommunications happen, and both Thunder on the River and Shorty’s sincerely apologize to anyone who may have been confused. We also ask that no negativity be directed toward either organization or any individual involved. Our shared goal has always been to support our community, bring people together, and continue building positive partnerships with local businesses.

In fact, we are already working together on an After Thunder celebration at Shorty’s Bar and Grill! Details will be announced soon, and we promise this will be one you won’t want to miss!
