♥️ May fun at the Ironton Senior Center 💙

The seniors have had an eventful month! We kicked off May with a trip to CCTC for Senior Citizen’s Day, celebrated Mother’s Day with beautiful flower arrangements from our friends at The Common Soil Collective, and took a road trip to Jackson, Ohio for shopping and lunch!
If you’re an area senior looking for fun activities, making new friends, community connections, and nutritious meals, the Ironton Senior Center would love to welcome you!
If you’re a community member or business interested in supporting the services provided at the center, send us a message.
The center is located on the 2nd Floor of the Park Ave. Apartments (202 Park Ave) in Ironton and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from
9:30am- noon, with lunch served at 11:30am.

As a reminder the Senior Center will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Everyone loves a glow up! A huge THANK YOU to everyone that braved the heat yesterday to leave your mark on Downtown Ironton at the 6th Annual Crosswalk Painting Event ! We painted, laughed, danced, and ate popsicles until our hearts were content. Any day we spend in community is a day well spent. 🩷

Happy Birthday to one of our absolute favorites James Gordon!!! 🎉🎣💛

Whether he’s out fishing, helping with community events, painting downtown streets, showing up for local kids or carrying approximately 47 fishing poles at once 😂; James brings kindness, laughter and heart everywhere he goes!

James is the kind of person who makes people feel welcomed, supported and included just by being himself. He shows up for this community again and again; always willing to lend a hand, share a smile and jump into whatever wild idea we come up with next.

We are so grateful for his friendship, his dedication to Third & Center and the joy he brings to every project and event. ❤️

Help us wish our fishing loving, community supporting, all around wonderful board member the happiest of birthdays!! 🥳🐟

♥️ Community Partner Spotlight ♥️

We are extremely grateful for our continued partnership with UK King's Daughters! They have been a longstanding supporter of our organization, enthusiastically granted use of the community garden space to our newest initiative, The Common Soil Collective, and this week gifted us an AED machine through their Community Outreach Program! This life saving tool will be with us at community events and at the Ironton Senior Center. We hope we never have to put it to use, but we are so thankful to have it on hand just in case. ♥️

Collaborative partnerships create thriving communities, and we are so appreciative of the support we receive!
