🏆 Congratulations to South Point, Grand Champion at the October 17 Ironton Buckeye Classic!

Deer Park finished second overall, followed by Circleville in third.

Class winners:
🥇 AA — South Point
🥇 A — Rock Hill
🥇 B — Deer Park
🥇 C — Lynchburg Clay

South Point led percussion, and Deer Park led auxiliary. Eight bands earned Superior ratings!

🧡🖤 BUCKEYE CLASSIC 2026! 🖤🧡

What an incredible day!

A huge thank-you to our Band Boosters, adult and student volunteers, band directors, and everyone who helped make the Buckeye Classic a success. After months of preparation, everything ran smoothly because of your hard work and dedication. No job was too big or too small, and every contribution mattered. Our student volunteers did a phenomenal job, and we are so proud of them!

We also thank all the bands who traveled to Ironton, along with their band directors, staff, bus drivers, and the judges who gave their time and expertise. We appreciate you being part of our event!

We are incredibly proud of our Million Dollar Marching Band, who closed out the competition with a fantastic performance. Seeing their show from the sideline was truly something special.

We especially want to thank the students who took advantage of the free admission to come out and support their band. We loved seeing you there and truly appreciate you showing up to cheer on your fellow students! We hope many more will come next year. 

It was a lot of preparation and a lot of hard work, but I personally can’t wait to do it again next year.

We are excited to welcome everyone to the Buckeye Classic Marching Band Competition! Come out and support these talented students as they take the field for a day filled with music, school spirit, and incredible performances!

* All Ironton students: FREE!

We especially hope to see our Ironton students come out and show their support! Our band members spend so much time cheering on our athletes, classmates, and school throughout the year, and we’d love to see that same support returned as they take the field!

Bring your family, invite your friends, and help us fill the stands for these hardworking musicians. They’ve put in countless hours of practice, and they deserve a crowd cheering them on!

A reminder that all Ironton students get into the Buckeye Classic for free! Please come out and support the Ironton million dollar marching band as we host our annual band competition. 

October 17, Gates open at 10am

The Million Dollar Marching Band will take the field at 3:15 PM.

There are 12 bands that compete before Ironton performs. The first competing band will take the field at 12 o’clock.

We’re excited to celebrate our amazing seniors and share some of their favorite band memories, fun facts, and plans for what’s next.

First up is Willow. Willow has been in band for 5 years and plans to attend Marshall University for Clinical Lab Studies

We’ll have an important parent meeting at tomorrow’s Band Booster meeting, Tuesday, October 13, at 6:00 p.m.

Please make every effort to attend. We need your help and support to make the Buckeye Classic band competition on Saturday, October 17 a success. We can’t do it without you!

We need your help this Saturday!

Since the football game was moved to Saturday, several of our concession workers can no longer make it, and we’re short about six people. If you’re available, please let me know. We appreciate every bit of help!

We need one or two people for the prep team, starting at 2:00 p.m. but for the most part, we need help during the game.

I would need  volunteers to meet us no later than 4 p.m. The gates open at 4:30 and we would like to have everyone in their place before that happens. 

All helpers receive a free meal, and students can earn community service hours.
