If you're facing watering restrictions, know that lawns can be maintained with minimal irrigation. Our horticulture and turfgrass specialists share their direction for homeowners:

✅ Even when lawn foliage dies back, crowns and roots remain alive.
✅ Most healthy lawns can survive dormancy for four to six weeks without water.
✅ Avoid cycling between dormancy and greening with intermittent irrigation.
✅ Raise mowing height to 3.5–4 inches.
✅ Hold off on fertilizing dormant lawns.
