Final donations of 2025 to John Stoddard Cancer Center and to Blank Children’s Hospital! What a blessing, wonderful memories shared of the years of donations we’ve made and of my late hisband Craig A Phinney our former Co-Founder and Executive Director. Tears of sadness, joy and happiness were shared with all. This year it was felt deeper. Thank you Unity Point Foundation and to Blank children’s Hospital for everything you do for your patients and for the partnership and trust you’ve shown to us through the years. It does not get taken likely. We truly love and value our relationship! May these bags and gifts bless many to which receive them!

Good Morning All! I hope this finds you healthy and (warm) happy! I’ve hesitated in posting this but decided what the heck! We as a board are looking to grow the board but also our volunteer base. So; with that said here is what I’m looking for and what the “commitment” looks like since that’s always a question. Let me put your worries to bed! The time commitment isn’t much; especially if we have a large pool to draw from, less stress on everyone. The volunteer opportunities are mainly available when we have a fundraising for the organization or for a cancer patients’ fundraiser. We would like to establish a volunteer pool to reach out to when there is an event or special occasion.

Now; this is where we need volunteers:

MOST IMPORTANT- BBQ SMOKERS. (This is a special group that have experience smoking meat and have logged many hours in this field. This not for the average griller.)

Servers
Setup/tear down (not a heavy lift)
Silent auction assistants (monitor items on tables)
Quilters/crocheters/knitters that want to donate lap quilts for our chemo comfort bag project!

We are also looking for individuals who have experience with grant writing or fundraising that would like to join our mission in serving those in need!

If you are interested in knowing more or are ready to join and help us to carry on what Craig and I started in 2010; then please email me or message me directly! In order for this organization to continue in helping cancer patients in a way that is unique to many other organizations out there; we need your assistance! And I assure you it is not a big time commitment! Thank you all for supporting us through the years and showing your love! I look forward to hearing from you and am excited to see what this year will bring in helping cancer patients!

This link is where we get a portion of the ticket proceeds. If you can’t make it, please consider purchasing a ticket and giving it to a cancer patient.

Okay today is the day to share exciting news!!! Our organization was approached by the Iowa Wild asking if we would be interested in being the Beneficiary of the Night for their Hockey Fights Cancer night on Friday November 15th!!! We need your help in sharing this with all your friends, family and colleagues!

November 15th we will be the Beneficiary of the Night for the IOWA WILD HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER!!
We have to sell 150 tickets for the night at minimum! This is huge for the Iowa Wild and they are excited for us to be a part of spotlighting our organization and the great work we do in helping cancer patients! It is super easy to purchase tickets and I’m attaching the link below! Come out and enjoy a game even if it’s not your thing! This will be a great night filled with fun, silent auction, ribbon sales, ceremonial puck drop, chuck a puck and of course a great game supporting Cops Against Cancer! All the proceeds from the silent auction, Chuck a puck and ribbon sales go to Cops Against Cancer and also a
portion of the ticket sales!
