Some of the biggest progress happens in the smallest interactions.

A shared moment, a familiar face, a child choosing to engage a little more each week — these are the things that slowly build connection. Over time, the mats become more than just a place to train. They become a place where our children feel comfortable, included, and part of something bigger.

That sense of belonging matters more than words can explain.

We’re grateful to have Jennifer Henevor as part of Mats For All.

As a pediatric occupational therapist, her work brings an essential layer to the program — helping our children better understand their bodies, regulate their responses, and engage more comfortably with movement and interaction on the mats. Her presence supports how each child processes the environment, transitions between activities, and builds confidence in their own way.

This kind of work goes beyond the class itself — it creates the foundation for more meaningful participation, connection, and growth.

Warm-ups are not just preparation — they’re essential.
This is where our children begin to adjust to the space, the people, and the rhythm of the class. These moments help reduce overload, organize attention, and create the stability they need to engage and participate more fully.
Everything that comes after starts here.

Having the support of dedicated professionals like Samantha makes all the difference. 💞

Their presence on the mats helps create an environment where each child can engage in their own way, with the right balance of structure and understanding. It’s this kind of collaboration that strengthens what we do and allows the program to reach each child more effectively.

The sit-up hip escape is a key movement on the mats.

It helps our children understand how to move from the ground, create space, and connect transitions with more control. Over time, these movements become more natural, improving coordination and confidence in every step.
