Our August meeting was a tour of the Hangar/Workshops at Falmouth Airpark, where members visited project builds in progress. Everybody had a great time in spite of the heavy rain!

Our July meeting was a Barbecue beside the runway at Falmouth Airpark.
The event was to recognize the contribution Matt and Emily had made to our EAA Chapter.
The next meeting will be the Airpark Hangar Tour on August 20th, starting with Pizza at 5.30 pm.
Our next Young Eagle rally will be at Katama on the Vineyard on Sunday September 21.

The EAA Chapter will not be holding meetings at Hyannis in July and August. Members have been notified of the alternative events at Falmouth. Contact the secretary for information about these alternative events.

We flew 30 Young Eagles at Falmouth on May 18th

Our 16th April meeting will be at Falmouth Aipark at 6.00 (not at the usual Hyannis venue.)
We will be flying Young Eagles at Falmouth on May 18th. There is a new website to register. Go to EAAChapters.org to sign up.

Did you know…?
Cape Cod used to have a drive-in/FLY-IN movie theater?

The Dennis Drive-In was the first on Cape Cod and was rather unique as it was a drive-in/fly-in theater. Planes would land on the back grassy area of the field and line up behind the cars. (clipping from The Independent Film Journal “Drive-In” Issue 1950)

- David and Lucy taking delivery of the brand new Cape Cod Aero Club plane (a Vashon Ranger) at Oshkosh.
