Back-to-school season is here, but so is Senior TAP Advocate Marissa Cabido.

Getting ready for a new school year can feel exciting, overwhelming, or a little bit of both. Here are a few simple tips to help make the transition easier—from getting back into a routine and checking your schedule to setting goals and practicing self-advocacy.

Remember, you don't have to figure everything out on your own! đź’™

If you’re a student aged 14-21 with a disability, 504 Plan/IEP, or a family member, parent or guardian, looking for support with transition goals, self-advocacy, social skills, employment, or other Transition to Adulthood Program needs, CORD is here to help.

Give us a call at 508-775-8300 to learn more!

Let’s start the school year strong! Marissa and MacKenzie are so proud of all of our students!

Do you know the difference between a guardian and a conservator?

Guardian: A guardian focuses on the personal, social and medical needs, such as health care, living arrangements, and overall well being.

Conservator: A conservator focuses on the finances, including income and assets, such as, business, real estate, or investment accounts, but the adult keeps the right to manage their income and pay their expenses.
