Do you know about the Blue Envelope program?

The Blue Envelope Program is a voluntary public safety initiative designed to improve communication and reduce anxiety between law enforcement officers and drivers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other communication and cognitive challenges during traffic stops.

Did you know that since Massachusetts State Police launched the Blue
Envelope Program in 2024, more than 1,600 envelopes have been distributed?

How can you get a Blue Envelope?

*By visiting the RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicles)

*Online with this link: https://www.mass.gov/forms/request-a-blue-envelope

*By vising a MSP (Massachusetts State Police) Barrack, but make sure you call first as they might be out of stock.

*By visiting AAA locations

PUBLIC HOUSING vs. PRIVATE HOUSING

What’s the Difference...?

Public housing is housing owned or operated by a government housing authority and generally offers reduced rent to eligible households.

Private housing is owned by an individual or private company, and rent is generally set by the landlord. However, some private housing can accept rental assistance or have affordable units.

Go to www.capecodrta.org to use the schedules to plan your trip.

You can get onboard at a bus stop or flag them down. They will stop for you!
