Special Olympics has launched an updated Athlete Registration Portal to make registration easier for athletes, families, coaches, and volunteers.

The new portal allows users to:
β€’ Create and manage profiles
β€’ Complete forms online
β€’ Save and update information anytime
β€’ Receive form status updates
β€’ Get notifications when medical forms are close to expiring

Most athletes no longer need a doctor’s signature for the medical history portion.

Walkthrough guides and FAQ resources are also available to help families through the process. Check out the new portal here: https://bit.ly/4nnKrl6

πŸ’™ Happy World Down Syndrome Day πŸ’›

Today is World Down Syndrome Day (3/21), and we’re excited to celebrate while continuing to spotlight the incredible individuals who make our communities stronger, brighter, and more connected every day.

If you don't know, Down syndrome is a genetic condition that occurs when someone is born with a third copy of chromosome 21. About 1 in 700 babies in the United States are born with Down syndrome. This extra chromosome is just one part of who they are and individuals with Down syndrome have unique talents, personalities, and so much to offer the world. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Today’s featured friends:

⭐ Eli – He loves dancing, singing, and spending time with his family, especially his big brother!

⭐ Katie – She is a strong girl that loves powerlifting. Her combined total across the bench press, squat, and deadlift exceeds 467 pounds!

These amazing individuals remind us what today is all about -- celebrating differences and recognizing the joy and value every person brings to our lives. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Let’s continue spreading awareness, showing support, and celebrating...not just today, but every day!

πŸŽ‰ And don’t forget that tomorrow, Sunday (3/22), we’ll continue the celebration with a FREE community event! πŸŽ‰
Bring your friends, family, and neighbors for an afternoon full of fun, connection, and celebration. There will be activities for all ages, opportunities to learn more, and a chance to show your support for the Down syndrome community.

πŸ“ Location: Lowe’s Midlothian
⏰ Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm
πŸ’™ Open to everyoneβ€”come be part of something meaningful!
