Free First Aid, CPR & AED class.
Here in African Solar Electric Light Foundation, we teach for Free, First Aid, CPR, and AED classes; we teach life-saving skills to the public at no cost. These courses are crucial for community safety, empowering individuals to act confidently during emergencies like cardiac arrest. The training covers techniques for adults, children, and infants, as well as the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Options range from online instruction to hands-on, in-person workshops offered by African Solar Electric Light Foundation. While the training itself is free, there may be a fee to receive an official certification card.

African Solar Electric Light Foundation empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty through sustainable energy, education, and self-reliance.
Access to clean energy, knowledge, and essential resources lies at the heart of global inequality. At African Solar Electric Light Foundation, we work with vulnerable communities to create scalable, community-owned solutions that drive long-term independence.
Whether it’s lighting up classrooms with solar power, training youth in digital skills, or building clean water systems—our work is rooted in one goal:
empowering people to shape their own futures.
We believe real change happens when people are given the tools to rise—not just today, but for generations to come.

Regular cleaning and maintenance of your rooftop solar panels is crucial to maximize their energy production and prolong their lifespan. Dirty solar panels can significantly reduce efficiency and potentially damage the panels over time. By understanding why solar panels get dirty, recognizing the consequences of neglecting their cleanliness, and employing the best cleaning practices, you can ensure optimal performance and reap the full benefits of your solar investment.

Solar Electrification Project for Remote Towns and Villages.
This project aims to implement solar home systems (SHS) in remote towns and villages lacking grid access, providing clean and affordable electricity. Utilizing the continent's abundant solar resources, SHS, comprised of a solar panel, battery, and appliances, will address the "last-mile" energy distribution challenge. This will empower households and small businesses, enabling lighting, phone charging, refrigeration, and improved education and healthcare access. Replacing costly and polluting kerosene lamps, this initiative will reduce health issues and accidents, while fostering economic opportunities and sustainable development, creating a brighter future for these communities.
Harnessing solar energy is transforming the lives of remote villages across the world by providing access to clean water and electricity, empowering communities and fostering sustainable development. Many sub-Saharan African communities lack basic access to these essential resources, hindering their progress and leaving them susceptible to hardship.
Solar-powered water projects offer a transformative solution. By installing solar panels to power water pumps, communities gain a reliable and cost-effective source of clean water. This eliminates long and arduous journeys for water collection, particularly for women and girls, freeing up their time for education and economic opportunities. Access to clean water also significantly improves health outcomes, reducing waterborne diseases and enhancing overall well-being.
Solar mini-grids are also proving to be a game-changer for rural electrification. These small, localized power systems can provide reliable electricity to homes, schools, clinics, and businesses, even in areas that are too remote or expensive to connect to the national grid. Electricity opens doors to improved education, healthcare, and economic growth, allowing communities to utilize technologies like refrigerators for preserving medicines and food, and access information and communication technologies.
Africa Solar Electric Light Foundation is at the forefront of this effort, bringing solar and water technologies to remote African villages and impacting millions of lives across multiple countries. These projects not only provide essential resources but also empower communities, foster self-sufficiency, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
