Externships are so incredibly valuable to our students, giving them spaces outside our classroom to practice, perfect, and learn even more skills. For the two weeks before graduation students experience these learning opportunities and begin branching out to our community. We here at Hatch want to offer a special thanks to Pizzelle's Confections , Hatch: Coffee with a Purpose , and our many partners who offer incredible externship and learning opportunities for our students!

Wanting to make some more memories before the end of 2026? You're in luck, we have our applications open for the last class of 2026! Come join us for life skills and knife skills. You'll learn everything you need to get a job, and more, alongside an awesome team. But don't wait long! We only have 5 spaces left! The last day to apply for this cohort is October 7th, 2026.

Cohort 26 is graduating today! These students were eager to learn and grow, and a fun group to have in our classroom. We can't wait to see where they'll go and what they'll accomplish next. Have any advice for our new graduates? Please share it in the comments below!

Cohort 26 hosted an incredible Leadership Lunch featuring cheese-stuffed sliders, crispy potato wedges, grilled brussel sprouts, an assortment of delicious sauces, and apple cheesecake hand pies for dessert.

We’re proud of our hatchlings as they head into their two-week externships before graduation. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish!

We can't believe our first 6 weeks of class is coming to a close! Our students shared some of their favorite moments from their cohort before they move onto their externships next week.

September is Library card sign up month at Huntsville Madison County Public Library, and Hatch Cohort 26 had a wonderful field trip to the South Huntsville Public Library! Students received their library cards, learned about library resources, and visited the Hatch Cafe located inside the library.

Cohort 25 is off to a sweet start! All thirteen students took their ServSafe Food Handler's exam and passed with flying colors!

The next 7 weeks of programming will take them through skills training, team building, and a path toward reaching their professional goals. We hope you'll follow along on their journey. If you recognize someone here, give them a shout out in the comments!
