The nonprofit organization was founded in 2002, and its local Festival is annual. The organization is also a MWBE (Minority & Women run Business Establishment).

The Hudson Eye is an artist-driven 10-day public program and urban showcase, with a focus on dance, music, performance, film, visual art, nightlife + free Hot Topics Panels at 1:00pm + Nightly Programs at 7:30pm.

🌎 In tandem we are overjoyed to offer “City Of Apparition” as the 2026 Special Project, and a very poetic response to a very complex City Of Hudson which has inspired us with its many apparitions since 2006. A production by Executive Producer Wayne Ashley, with whom we share nearly two decades of history, along with support from the Taiwanese government, and staged in a welcoming “Demo” format at a local venue of quality, care, elevated intentions, and zero drama. 🎞️About The Artists

🪢 Shu-Kai Lin and Wayne Ashley have been in an ongoing artistic dialogue between Taiwan and New York for the past three years, bringing together distinct artistic histories and approaches. Their collaboration brings Lin’s materially grounded visual practice into dialogue with Ashley’s interdisciplinary work across performance, installation, and immersive media.

Davide Rivalta’s monumental lion has been placed at Mynttorget, and five more sculptures are now on display at our Institute.

We can’t wait to start our programme of events, beginning with tomorrow’s Kulturnatt preview, which features a dance performance by Damiano Ottavio Bigi and Natalia Vallebona. This was created by Bigi Paoletti. The official inauguration will take place on the 21st at 11 am as part of Stockholm Art Week, followed by an artist talk with Magnus af Petersens at the Institute at 6 pm on the same day!
