The Tryon Family Foundation is a private, non-profit, grant-making limited liability company located in the Hudson Valley of New York. Today, Randy J.

We are dedicated to continuing the family philosophy of "Giving for the Greater Good." Upon the untimely death of Lorraine Tryon from ovarian cancer in 1998, her son Randy, spent his time keeping her memory alive. This was through private donations to hundreds of non-profit organizations and supporting causes that were important to her, and his connection to her during his childhood. Tryon, along with an Advisory Board, continues the family philosophy of "Giving for the Greater Good," but now, through the generosity of the Tryon Family Foundation. This all-encompassing organization brings to light the over 400 years of history and philanthropic giving of this illustrious family. As one close friend put it, "Lorraine was one of the most unselfish individuals one would have ever met, having bestowed love and generosity to all who knew her. With Randy's similar generous traits, and joined by his close family and friends, we are dedicated to following in his mother's footsteps." Art has the power to heal, connect, and inspire.

We're excited to help spread the word about ARTLife717 aka Mental Health Awareness & Creative Arts Gallery's latest exhibition, Stories in Color, on view June 27 – August 29, in Hudson.

This moving exhibition celebrates personal expression, recovery, and the power of creativity to give shape to lived experience. Through painting, mixed media, photography, and more, Stories in Color explores how color can hold memory, emotion, identity, healing, and hope—while advancing ARTLife717's important mission to raise mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and build community through the arts.

Join them for the Opening Reception on Saturday, July 11, from 5–7 p.m. and experience this inspiring collection firsthand.

The Tryon Family Foundation is proud to have supported ARTLife717 with a $2,000 grant in 2025, and we're honored to continue cheering on their incredible work in our community.
