✨🧢 Celebrating our VITA volunteers!

Folks from the Capitol region gathered together for a Valley Cats Baseball game and to recognize United Way of the Greater Capital Region VITA Volunteers. 🌭 We had a great time and delicious refreshments.

One of our volunteers—Mario Verna—threw out the first ball of the game like a pro. ⚾️ It was a special moment because his son had pitched from the same mount when he attended LaSalle High School. 😊

☀️ The sun is shining and summer is here! As temperatures rise, it's important to take extra care of yourself and your little ones.

🌊 3 Summer Safety Tips:

💧 Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially when spending time outdoors. Don't wait until you're thirsty!

🧴 Protect Your Skin
Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and reapply every two hours when outside. Hats and lightweight clothing provide extra protection.

🌳 Beat the Heat
Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning, if possible, and avoid prolonged outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
