The Playground Golf Foundation purpose is to provide golf as and option to all children, including those that are underprivileged, handicapped or terminally ill. This introduction will impact the lives of young people by providing educa

tional programs delivered by trained PGA Professionals that teach children the values of integrity, honesty, life skills and promoting the growth of the game.

This is Coach Andrew Deforest Mr. 59 Himself. The Playground Golf Foundation is truly thrilled to have Andrew as a hands on coach who gets down on the children’s level to deliver our Golf in school programs.

During the golf season, he is the Head Golf Professional at the Lazy Swan country club in Saugerties, New York. Where he also holds the course record of 59. That’s right ladies and gentlemen 59 strokes for 18 holes. This man is not just a fantastic coach, but he is an accomplished player.

We finished strong at Cairo Durham middle school. This concludes our eight weeks at four different schools in the Mid Hudson Valley. If you’re interested in bringing our program to your school, please send us a note. We deliver programs to elementary and middle schools in Columbia Greene and Northern Dutchess counties.
