And now for Domenico’s Happy Adoption moment.
It’s a quiet courage story.
Domenico came into rescue unsure of the world and unsure of himself. Confidence didn’t come naturally to him. But sometimes the right environment makes all the difference.
Pauline stepped in through a foster to adopt path, which is a brave move in itself. And Domenico didn’t do this alone. Her whippet has been showing him the ropes, modeling calm, confidence, and what it looks like to just be a dog. Little by little, Domenico has been learning that the world isn’t so scary and that he belongs in it.
This is what progress can look like, a dog slowly realizing he’s safe.
For anyone wondering if dogs like Domenico can become confident, settled, and “normal,” this is your reminder that yes, they absolutely can. With patience, support, and the right fit, incredible things happen.
