We’re looking forward to the big conversations focused on the future of arts and culture, but we don’t want the discussions to end when the sessions do!

At the Greater Houston Arts Forum + TFA Summit & Awards, we’ll be hosting Dine Arounds to create space for connection over food and dig deeper into the issues shaping the sector across Texas.

Help us shape the experience. 🗣️ Vote for the Dine Around topic you’d most like to join. Dine Around topics will be based on these votes.

How do we build a Houston where culture thrives and creatives can actually make a living?

Last March, our Vibrant Spaces and Economic Opportunity working groups joined forces to dig in at Magpies & Peacocks , a Houston nonprofit dedicated to keeping fashion out of landfills through textile reuse, skills training, and workforce development for creatives.

This Friday at 5:30pm we’re taking the two working groups to The Flat and we’d love to have you there. 📍

How do we build a Houston where culture thrives and more creatives can make a living? That’s exactly what our Vibrant Spaces and Economic Opportunity working groups have been exploring over the past few months.

On July 24th, we are coming together to share the work and what the next steps are. You are invited to join the discussions!

Earlier this month, our Vibrant Spaces working group visited Las Perras Café! a Latina-owned creative space in Houston’s East End that’s boldly redefining what a café can be. Here’s what owner Andrea had to say. 🌸

This was Houston’s arts community and content creators coming together for the first time — talking honestly about collaboration, storytelling, and what it really takes to tell this city’s story. This is just the beginning!

Thank you to Deluxe Theatre for hosting us in such an incredible space.

It started with a conversation.

Back in March, we brought content creators Erika Harrison and Shea Jordan Smith into the room with Houston’s arts community because the internet was already talking about Houston as a cultural destination, and we felt like both worlds needed to actually meet. That one conversation turned into something bigger.

Tomorrow, we’re taking it further. The Arts x Influence: A Creative Exchange brings together Houston’s arts sector and creators for a night of open discussion, new connections, and one shared question: how do we tell Houston’s story together? Claudia, Erika, and Shea will also be part of the panel conversation during the event.
