We have a wonderful "HAPPY TAIL" to share for COSETTE, now known as Phoebe Booray! 🥰

This precious girl was rescued after she took up residence in someone's backyard, and they contacted us for help. After being fully vetted and fostered, she has found her loving forever home. Her new mom has homes in both Houston and Galveston, so Cosette is truly living the dream life!

SWEENEY has her bags packed and is ready to leave the clinic! All she needs now is a foster or forever home.

Sweeney is a sweet and gentle lady. She is approximately 8 years old and weighs 25 pounds. She was rescued from a hoarding situation and arrived with eye, ear, and skin infections, as well as a severe flea infestation and overgrown nails.

She has now been fully vetted and is doing well. Her missing hair is growing in nicely and her coat gets prettier every day. While she is a little shy with new people, she is learning to accept affection. Will you be the one to give her the love she deserves?

LOLA LUCCI'S PCR test results confirmed she does NOT have the highly fatal distemper virus! Hallelujah!! However, her journey to survive has been difficult. After two weeks of navigating fluctuations in her breathing, digestion and seizures, she appears to finally be stable.

Because of this improvement, Lola Lucci will begin spending her nights at home with one of her critical care veterinary technicians and returning to the clinic during the day. This transition helps reduce medical expenses, and allows her time outside of the hospital environment.

While she still has ongoing medical needs, we are optimistic the worst is behind her. Lola's personality is starting to shine and she is becoming quite active between naps.

We are most grateful for everyone's prayers, shares, and donations to date. We couldn't save critical cases like Lola Lucci without you! We still need several more thousand to cover her current bill, and would welcome any additional help you can provide.

Making their debut are DONNY (front) & DAISEY (back)! These two adorable siblings were rescued from a recent hoarding case and brought into our program. After receiving full veterinary care and lots of TLC, they are now healthy and doing well.

Donny & Daisy are headed to one of our rescue partners in the Northeast, where they will soon find their forever homes. We are thankful we could be a part of their journey to a love-filled life! ❤

We love strating the week with a HAPPY TAIL! BUFFI aka Buffalo (R) has found her furever home! Buffi is one of the 11 adult dogs we rescued from a hoarding case. She waited a while for her new home, but it was totally worth it! She now has two K9 siblings, and a doting family including a mom, dad, and grandmother, with plenty of love to go around! Have the BEST LIFE Buffi! We ❤ you!

LOLA LUCCI is now on day 11 of critical care. While her condition continues to fluctuate, we are happy to share that today was a good day.

During our nightly visit, Lola was alert and remains a sweet patient, even taking her medication well. We are still waiting for the PCR lab results to determine if she has the distemper virus which carries a high mortality rate. Regardless of the diagnosis, she is receiving the best medical care possible, and we remain hopeful that she will be strong enough to overcome this illness.

Lola’s extensive critical care costs have already surpassed $14,000 and are increasing by the hour. Your donations, prayers, and shares are greatly needed during this crucial time.

Today marks Day 10, and LOLA LUCCI remains in critical care. Her condition continues to fluctuate; while she is occasionally breathing well and eating successfully, she still requires supplemental oxygen at times and suffers from intermittent regurgitation and diarrhea.

We just returned from visiting her and were pleased to see she was in good spirits. She enjoys playing with the plastic tube during her nebulizing treatment. Additionally, she has gained weight and now weighs 2 pounds, up from 1.6 pounds at intake.

It is frustrating that the PCR lab results have still not arrived, as we still do not know if she has the distemper virus. Whether positive or not, Lola is receiving the best medical care possible. We remain hopeful that she will grow stronger and overcome this mystery illness.

Lola Lucci's critical care costs have surpassed $14,000 and are still growing! This is much more tham originally estimated, but we believe she is worth every penny and hope you do too! Your donations, prayers, and shares are greatly needed and appreciated at this crucial time. 🙏❤

We wanted to share an uplifting story! Happy tears are being shed today for 1500 Beagles freed from Ridglan Farms, which breeds Beagles for biomedical research. These Beagles lived in horrific conditions subjected to the cruelest testing, and spent their entire lives in cramped cages. Watching them experience grass beneath their feet and see the sky for the first time truly brings tears of joy!

In the comments section below, there is a video showing the conditions inside of Ridglan Farms where the Beagles were bred and confined. No animal should ever be subject to such cruelty. We are most grateful to the animal welfare advocates who worked tirelessly to free these Beagles and give them a start at a new life filled with love!
