Get the popcorn ready! Our senior lady, DOT, is modeling her Halloween costume, and she couldn't be any cuter! 🎃

We rescued Dot earlier this year. She is approximately 14 years old, deaf, partially blind, and has a very large mass on her spleen. These tumors are typically cancerous, carrying a life expectancy of about three months with or without surgery. Dot has already surpassed that timeline and is still thoroughly enjoying life.

She loves snuggles, belly rubs, and receiving her favorite treats from her pawsome hospice foster mom. We are truly blessed to have Dot in our lives and cherish every single day with her! ♥

After almost two weeks in critical care, SUSIE has been discharged from the hospital! All of her caregivers were giving her goodbye hugs and kisses.

When Susie was brought to us from a shelter in South Texas, she was lethargic and limping, with serious wounds and areas of necrotic skin on her right shoulder and right hind paw. Thanks to daily wound treatment, IV fluids, pain medication, antibiotics, and great medical care, she is like a new puppy. As she feels better, her personality is really starting to shine through.

At approximately 6 months old and 15 pounds, Susie is ready to see the world in a whole new light. She is heading to a foster home where she will finish recuperating and prepare for her next chapter. Email [email protected] for more information on this adorable girl. 🐾💕🐾💕

RCR BENI went on a shopping trip to Home Depot with his foster mom! You would never know it by looking at his photo, but Beni suffers from severe separation anxiety, and is currently seeing a veterinary behaviorist to help manage his fears.

Rescued last December, Beni spent nearly a month in critical care following severe trauma that left him with a massive wound covering half of his back. He is now with a medical foster who supported his physical recovery and is currently helping him work through his behavioral challenges.

Beni is extremely lucky to have such a dedicated foster mom who refuses to give up on him! Some pups take longer than others to fully recover, but we love them all the same! ♥

We are excited to celebrate ADDIE'S recovery and her Happy Tail! 🥰

When we first rescued Addie (L), she was struggling to walk and dragging her back legs due to severe nerve damage from trauma. Thanks to physical therapy and plenty of TLC, she has fully regained her mobility—you would never even know she was injured!

Addie is now loving life with her new family, including both her human and furry siblings. Have the BEST LIFE, Addie! We ♥ you!

TOASTY'S ability to walk is improving every day! Three weeks ago, he was found on the street unable to move due to two broken back legs. He underwent orthopedic surgery to repair both of his femurs, his stitches have now been removed, and physical therapy is helping significantly.

While the shelter originally estimated Toasty to be a puppy, further examination by the vet indicates he is about 1 to 2 years old. Toasty currently weighs a healthy 10 lbs, a wonderful improvement from being emaciated when he was first rescued.

We are at Vergi 24/7 visiting Susie and she is starting to act like a puppy - a good sign that she is feeling better! She is a favorite of her veterinary team and is getting to spend time outside of her kennel and in their office. They even gave her a nice cozy sweater to cover her bandages and a bone to chew on.

Susie’s wound care is progressing well, and has now been moved to every 48 hours. If she keeps on this path, she may be able to go home soon, but we desperately need a foster home for her. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in giving this sweet girl some TLC. She is just 6 months old and only 15 pounds, so won’t take up much room!

SUSIE is still receiving care at Vergi 24/7, but she is improving. Her bloodwork shows that her infection is clearing up, and her wound treatment is progressing well.

Tomorrow marks one week since Susie came to us from a shelter in South Texas. She arrived lethargic and limping, with serious wounds and areas of necrotic skin on her right shoulder and right hind paw. While we don't know her past, we know this 6-month-old puppy deserves a second chance at life and love.

Susie will need a loving foster home to give her TLC once she is released from the ER. If you have space in your heart and home to foster her, please email [email protected].
