This May, we celebrate our roots — and look toward a healthier future for all AANHPI communities. 🌺 We are partnering with community organizations to: → Educate communities about health conditions like IgAN → Connect people to clinical research opportunities → Build trust between our communities and the healthcare system Because our communities deserve healthcare that sees us fully. Happy AAPI Heritage Month. 💜

Community is at the heart of everything we do. 🌸 This AAPI Heritage Month, we're honoring the AANHPI community members, advocates, and health workers who fight every day for equitable health care — including equitable access to clinical research. Did you know? APIAHF's survey found that the #1 thing that would encourage AANHPI community members to consider clinical research is clear: Honest information about what participation involves. Transparency. Trust. Community. 💜 Learn more at apiahf.org.

Our communities have always showed up for each other. This AAPI Heritage Month, we're asking: are clinical trials showing up for us? AANHPI communities are significantly underrepresented in clinical research — even though we bear a disproportionate burden of certain diseases like IgA nephropathy (IgAN). Representation in clinical research isn't just a scientific issue. It's a health equity issue.

In a world that moves too fast, sometimes you just need a second to pause, listen deeply, and reconnect. ☺️

That's why on May 30th, from 10am-12pm, we are bringing you a time to gather yourself and just take a breath. We are thrilled to partner with Asia Society Texas, Daya, Tahiri, and The Jung Center's Mind Body Spirit Institute for a cross-cultural exploration of sound and vibration as a means of healing. 🧘🏽‍♀️🌺

This session will include
- Sound meditation
- Vietnamese Buddhist chanting
- A live tabla performance
