When the mission reaches morning television, you know the work is speaking for itself. 📺🤝🏾

Earlier this week, our President sat down with to represent Emerging 100 Houston speaking to the mentorship, leadership development, and community impact work this organization has been driving across Houston since 2013.

And being the one to lead that conversation as a brother and member of the 100 Black Men family — that’s the ecosystem at work.

This is what we mean when we say young Black professional men are developing their careers while pouring into the next generation. In boardrooms. On campuses. In classrooms. And yes, on television in front of our community. 🏙️

“What They See Is What They’ll Be®” in real time. 🌱

The work continues. Stay connected to the mission and follow our journey.

The most lasting impact in mentorship is often felt, not taught. 💯

Each semester, Emerge Academy intentionally creates space beyond the curriculum because belonging, exploration, and real connection are part of the work too.

On Saturday, April 11, our mentors and mentees linked up at Urban Warfare Paint Zone for our Spring Excursion. No agenda. No structured sessions. Just brothers, young and seasoned, building the kind of bonds that last well past the program.

That’s the thing about mentorship done right. The young men in our program don’t just gain knowledge. They gain community. Men who show up for them consistently, in every kind of setting, every single month. 🎯

Shoutout to our brother, Davonte, for leading Emerge Academy with intention, the brothers of Emerging who keep showing up, and Yes Prep Southside for trusting us to pour into these young men. 🤝

Most leadership programs teach theory.

This one teaches application and it's built exclusively for the men already doing the work.

Emerging 100 Houston just launched the E100 Leadership Accelerator: a members-only, quarterly development experience spanning leadership, wealth, entrepreneurship, executive presence, data fluency, and civic influence delivered by Fortune 50 executives, venture investors, and wealth strategists every quarter over two years.

The reason this program exists: our members show up every month for the young men of Emerge Academy and the students of Collegiate 100 serving campuses at Texas Southern University, University of Houston, and Prairie View A&M University. The Accelerator is how we invest in them in return because the standard we hold for the next generation starts with the standard we set for ourselves.

We launched our inaugural session last week. We are grateful for Atieno Obala, 25+ years at Accenture and founder of advoca•C, her own leadership consulting firm, for grounding our first session in what it truly means to lead with intention before authority is ever granted. She didn't just share frameworks. She challenged every man in that room to operate at a higher standard, starting now.

Also, thank you to HP for sponsoring this program. This is what meaningful corporate investment in leadership looks like in practice.

If you lead a company, ERG, or foundation interested in developing the next generation of Black executives, this is worth a conversation.
