Dancing with friends is one of our favorite things, but this weekend, we’ll have some fun baking with friends, too! 🍰

Join us for our Fifth Sunday dance this weekend (August 30th), where we’ll be having an HSDS bake-off! Anyone can bring a baked dish (with an ingredient list) to enter the competition, and attendees will be able to taste dishes and purchase tickets for voting. Whichever dish gets the most votes wins! Rest assured, there will still be dancing happening at the same time as the bake-off 💃🏻

We loved welcoming Erin Morris back to her home away from home this past weekend! It’s always such a treat to have her in town to teach some classes. 😍

The dance floor at Everton Hall is ready and waiting for tonight’s dance! It’s hard to believe that it’s been just over a year since we opened this space, and it’s been a joy seeing all of the magic that dancers have brought to it since then. 💖

5-6 pm: Level 2 Lindy Hop
6-7 pm: Level 1 Lindy Hop
7-7:30 pm: Drop-In Class
7:30-9:30 pm: Social Dancing

As pride month comes to a close, we want to highlight a few members of the LGBTQIA+ community that influenced the jazz scene we know and love today! These are only a handful of the many q***r artists that have contributed to the art forms we love, and it’s important for all of us to learn more about q***r influences in jazz and Lindy Hop and to support our local q***r communities all year long.
