Best of the Batch Foundation

Best of the Batch Foundation Mission: Unlocking potential in communities to build the best future for kids and families by providing choices, motivation, and education.

Best of the Batch Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch. Best of the Batch Foundation provides year-round educational programming to more than 3,800 children ranging in ages from 4 to 18, across 22 school districts in eight western Pennsylvania counties. Our goal is to provide financially challenged communities with the purpo

se, desire, and resources to give their best efforts in all they do...to be the best of the batch in life. We offer programming in four main categories - educational, athletic, community, and leadership. All of our programs stem from our commitment to supporting community kids in all aspects of their lives, providing a place to go, an ear to listen, and the guidance to help them see and unlock the greatest potential in themselves.

☀️ Summer 2026 is officially here, and we’re excited to partner with some amazing organizations to bring tufting to students! 🧶✨

This summer, Rugs N Stuff will be working alongside Best of the Batch Foundation and The Makers Clubhouse to provide hands-on creative experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.

From first-time tufters to future artists, we can’t wait to see what these students create this summer! 💚

A huge thank you to our partners for believing in the power of art and making these opportunities possible.

Here’s to another summer filled with creativity, learning, and unforgettable memories! ☀️🎨

For our final day of the spring Culinary Clubhouse, the OST chefs made chicken caesar salad wraps!

Each lesson focuses on hands-on cooking experiences. Culinary Clubhouse helps kids develop confidence, independence, and practical life skills they can use at home and beyond.

Thank you Mrs. Bobick for another incredible semester of Culinary Clubhouse!
