Mission: Unlocking potential in communities to build the best future for kids and families by providing choices, motivation, and education.

Best of the Batch Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch. Best of the Batch Foundation provides year-round educational programming to more than 3,800 children ranging in ages from 4 to 18, across 22 school districts in eight western Pennsylvania counties. Our goal is to provide financially challenged communities with the purpo

se, desire, and resources to give their best efforts in all they do...to be the best of the batch in life. We offer programming in four main categories - educational, athletic, community, and leadership. All of our programs stem from our commitment to supporting community kids in all aspects of their lives, providing a place to go, an ear to listen, and the guidance to help them see and unlock the greatest potential in themselves.

At Best of the Batch, we believe investing in our youth means investing in their future and their well-being.

Youth Day is a reminder to recognize our young people and to pour into them. To encourage them. Believe in them. And remind them just how much they matter.

We are so grateful that we get to make an impact in the lives of so many little humans year-round. Every day is a moment to remind them that they matter and that their future is worth investing in.
