The Holden Democratic Town Committee fosters and advances the ideals and aims of the Democratic Party and works to build and strengthen the party. The Committee organizes and works for the election and appointment of members of the Democratic Party at the State and National levels.

The unofficial results say that the Holden override has passed by over 300 votes, with 3,340 people voting. Unfortunately Rutland voted against the override, thus causing the WRSD budget to fail (four of five towns needs to pass it for approval, and Paxton already voted no by around just ten votes at their town meeting).
