FREEdom Tails Ohio FREEdom Tails Ohio is a registered 501(c)(3) animal rescue. We specialize in rescue, rehab and adoption of commercial breeding dogs.

We are 100% volunteer AND foster based. We have fosters located in Columbus (and surrounding suburbs), Canton, and Bryan. We respect and appreciate our foster’s time and efforts rehabilitating animals and do not set up meet and greets prior to an approval of an adoption application. Follow us on Facebook for all available adoptable animals. All pets are spayed/neutered (age appropriate), vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, Heartworm tested, microchipped, and treated for any other medical condition prior to going home with new families.

Nesta is an absolutely gorgeous little doll! She is incredibly sweet and undeniably her Mama Suri's favorite kitten. If you are looking for a kitty who will hold a conversation with you, Nesta is your girl—she is so talkative and loves to chat with her humans! Having been handled and socialized by humans since birth, alongside adult cats and two small dogs, she is exceptionally well-adjusted and loving.

Having a playmate helps them burn off energy, prevents boredom, and teaches them important social boundaries. ❤️ Pookie and Bandit are best friends. Bandit may have limited vision and hearing impairment and Pookie is mostly blind and deaf, but these resilient little guys don’t miss a beat! They navigate their world beautifully. They are crate trained, housebroken, and do excellent on a leash! They love to cuddle and get snuggled up by anyone and everyone they meet. These boys truly thrive side-by-side and are ready for a family who will give them the time, guidance, and affection they deserve.

A fence is preferred but not required, they will need a dedicated family committed to structured, leashed walks and routines. They do great with people, kids, and other dogs. They have not been cat tested.

Coco is very sweet and affectionate, loves people and adores attention. He loves to cuddle, fetch toys and chewing things. He’s really confident and curious. He still has some puppy energy but loves his downtime too.. He does need to learn manners when it comes to sharing toys with other dogs and is starting to learn “no” and “sit” commands. He is very treat motivated! He sleeps all through the night and eats well. Coco doesn’t love to be crated, but does okay as long as he has something to chew on. He’s about 80-90% there with going potty outside so will need consistency here. He will require regular grooming.

Adopt Maisie, a precious 10-pound Bichon with enormous soulful eyes and the sweetest little face. After spending years mothering oodles of puppies, Maisie is finally beginning a new chapter of her own and learning what it means to feel safe and loved. She is extremely timid and still uncomfortable being picked up, so she needs a calm, patient adopter who will allow her to build trust and confidence at her own pace. Maisie would do best in a quiet home with another friendly small dog, as she looks to other dogs for comfort and reassurance. She is making progress with potty training and learning to walk on a leash, although both will need continued practice. Maisie may not be an instant lapdog, but with time, consistency and plenty of love, we believe this gentle little girl will blossom into an incredibly devoted companion.

Pixie is very timid and gets frightened easily. She needs a quiet home without young children. She gets frightened by loud sounds and commotion. Therefore, Pixie will do best in a quiet household with adults.

Pixie was returned to FTO 5 weeks ago. Pixie and her family both tried to work things out but it was not the right environment for her. During the 5 weeks Pixie has been with us, we have seen much improvement in her anxiety. She likes to walk in the woods and take naps. As retirees, we appreciate a dog that can nap.

Pixie needs time and encouragement to gain trust and confidence with new experiences. Given time and patience, Pixie will be a wonderful companion and friend.

Pippi is a soft, fluffy little pup seeking her forever home. She has the cutest little prance and loves to chase her tail. She is new to home life and continues to blossom each day. She gets along with other pups but still working to trust people. She is making great strides in climbing on the couch to sit with her person, following room to room and enjoys pets but she is hesitant to come when called. Pippi is a good eater and will take treats from your hand.She walks well on leash but due to being skittish should be on a leash when outside, hence fence is required. She is fairly quiet but has a cute little howl.
Pippi is fully vetted and is ready for adoption.

Jolene is learning the ways of being in a home. She is a little skittish with sounds and sudden movements. She enjoys a quiet and calm environment. Once she trusts you she is your best friend and pounces like a puppy to get to you. She may be 30 pounds but she thinks she is a lap dog. She doesn’t mind other dogs, big or small.
Jolene is a smart girl and learned quickly to use the potty outside. She will go into her crate, with help, while her humans are at work and at night. She is not yet walking on a leash but is starting to explore the backyard.
Jolene has beautiful blonde fluffy hair, however it was not cared for and needed to be shaved for a start fresh. A fresh beginning for her all around!
