The Amvets Post 1928 would like to sincerely thank Daniel Holland and Troop 275 for taking on the restoration project of repairing the cannon we received from the 94th Aero Squadron.

Daniel’s Eagle Scout Project involved countless volunteer hours dedicated to rust removal, welding, fabricating new brackets to secure the cannon in place, priming to help prevent future rust, and completing the final paint job.

We greatly appreciate the hard work, dedication, and community service shown by Daniel and Troop 275 in helping preserve this important piece of history.

Special thanks to Louise Retzlaff and Theresa Hitzemann for the support they has given to our auxiliary since they joined. We look forward to the continuing input from Michelle Roberts, Barbara Vorhies and Shelby Brumfield. Let’s continue the growth we all established.

I will now be the first vice and in charge of memberships. As I assume this new role. I am looking forward to this as a new opportunity to remain an active officer of The Auxiliary. Our focus as The Auxiliary has been and always will be our support of our veterans, members, and families. The auxiliary has grown and assumed an active role in that regards.

Thank you all for supporting me as President of the Auxiliary for the last 3 years. Let’s show Michelle the same support. Again, we are all family.
