Friends of Westgate Park We are a 501c3 volunteer group dedicated to the beautification of Westgate Park in Columbus, Ohio

We are an all-volunteer non profit that works to beautify and improve Westgate Park in Columbus, Ohio. We seek to add and maintain flower beds, create new pollinator habitat, clean up litter, and raise funds for park improvements such as benches. We work closely with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD) to help make the park the best it can be for visitors and wildlife. We were formally recognized by CRPD in 2007 and successfully applied for our 501C3 designation in 2013.

The rain & clouds blew away and we ended up with an absolutely gorgeous morning for our 7th annual plant swap! We had a great mix of indoor and outdoor plants, including native pollinator-friendly plants!

We had a great time chatting about plants with friends, neighbors, and fellow plant-lovers. And thanks to your donations, we raised $210 toward improvements in Westgate Park!

Leftover plants from the swap will be out on the stoop at 3195 Parkside Rd until tomorrow - please help yourselves! Thanks again for a great event!

We had a chilly but beautiful morning for our last clean up of the year! brought us a great group of volunteers to assist in planting two native trees, a trumpet vine, and spring bulbs in the flower beds. We also did some trash pickup. THANK YOU to our volunteers for making quick work of these activities, and now we can all relax as we head into a season of rest.

Friends of Westgate Park would love to invite you to pre-buy mums ahead of the annual Mums & Mummies as part of our annual fund raiser!!

Each mum is priced at $9! And this year, they’re HUGE!

Please see the pictures and reach out if you’ll like to buy one (or three!).

The proceeds will go towards our Non-Profit and helps beautify the park, such as yearly planting, mulching, trash clean up, and more!
