Are you familiar with the Missing Man Table?

This table is set up in memory of those who did not make it home. In MALTA, we have resources for VFW Auxiliary members who would like to set one up and/or hold a Missing Man Table ceremony. In addition, those wishing to share the significance of this with children can do so using the book America's White Table by Margot Theis Raven, illustrated by Mike Benny, as part of Patriotism Through Literacy, our Youth Activities initiative.

Pictured: Back in March, while working with Sea Isle’s Mayor Lenny Desiderio and City Communications Director Kathy Custer, VFW Auxiliary to Post 1963 in New Jersey gifted a Missing Man table to the city’s brand new Community Center. The grand opening was on Saturday, March 28th, after the city’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial Service. Those present included Auxiliary Treasurer Ruth Brown, Auxiliary President Peggy Moore and Conductor Terry Moore. What a beautiful gift!

Event 6/6

Today was nothing short of amazing. The love and support shown for our girl Aggie was truly overwhelming. So many people came out, showed up, and showed out, proving once again what an incredible community we have.

Together, we raised an unbelievable $10,263, and to make things even more incredible, an anonymous donors stepped forward and paid four months of rent. What an amazing blessing!

Our post’s slogan has always been “A Small Post With a Big Heart,” and today that was proven beyond measure. The kindness, generosity, and compassion shown by everyone will never be forgotten.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who donated, volunteered, attended, bought raffle tickets, shared a smile, or simply showed their support. You made a difference today.

Aggie, we all love you, we all care about you, and we hope this helps provide you with the rest, peace, and treatments you need. You are surrounded by so much love, and you are never alone in this fight.

Thank you all for showing what community, friendship, and love truly look like. ❤️
