Join the YWCA for an engaging, interactive, nonpartisan Lunch & Learn designed to strengthen civic knowledge and help community members become more informed voters. During this session, participants will explore the distinct roles and responsibilities of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners and the High Point City Council, learn how these two governing bodies work together to serve residents, and gain a better understanding of why these local offices matter. The conversation will also focus on what to look for when evaluating candidates for local office, including the leadership qualities, skills, and values that contribute to effective public service.
