Our recent Data Axle workshop gave entrepreneurs, small business owners, and aspiring business leaders a closer look at how data can support better decision-making, from identifying target customers and researching competitors to uncovering growth opportunities and strengthening grant, loan, and pitch applications.

👏 This week's Ambassador Spotlight shines on Angi Wesson Cranford!

As Marketing Director at Davis • Martin • Powell and a proud BHP Chamber Ambassador, Angi is passionate about building relationships and strengthening connections throughout the High Point community.

She became an Ambassador because she genuinely enjoys being involved in the community where she lives and works. The opportunity to connect with professionals from different industries, build meaningful relationships, and support the continued growth of High Point made the program a natural fit. 🤝

What Angi loves most about doing business in High Point is the strong sense of community. It's a place where relationships matter, people support one another, and opportunities to connect and grow are around every corner. 💜

Her advice for anyone looking to grow professionally:
➡️ "Show up, stay consistent, and don't be afraid to introduce yourself. Some of the best opportunities come from simply being present, getting involved, and building authentic relationships over time."

One of Angi's favorite places in High Point is Willow Creek Golf Club. The course holds a special place in her heart because of its connection to her father, who passed along both a love of golf and a respect for the game that has shaped many parts of her life. ⛳💜

The future of workforce development starts with opportunity.

Through the Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative Girls in Gear event, rising 9th–12th grade girls explored the exciting world of advanced manufacturing through interactive activities, live demonstrations, and conversations with industry professionals.

Participants gained firsthand exposure to innovative technologies, skilled trades, and in-demand career pathways while learning about the opportunities available right here in our region. 🏭 💡

A special thank you to our partners and local industry leaders who helped make this experience possible and continue investing in the next generation of talent. Together, we're building a stronger workforce and a brighter future for our community.

We are proud to announce that our President and CEO, Rachel Collins, has been awarded the prestigious Cardinal Award by State Auditor Dave Boliek in recognition of her leadership, service, and commitment to the High Point community. 👏🏾🙌🏽🎉

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor’s Cardinal Award is a special distinction bestowed upon some of North Carolina’s finest individuals. Established by State Auditor Dave Boliek, the award honors individuals who care for their home and community resources, much like the state bird vigilantly guards its nest.
